Silky Wilkie runs into the model as the most in-form horse in the field. Won this C&D (Wolverhampton 6f) on 16 February. RPR 91, TS 69. Followed that with a win at Newcastle in January. K R Burke's seven-year-old has placed or won in five consecutive starts on AW. The 5 lb claim from Jack Nicholls adds further value. The only concern is the step up in class from Class 4 to Class 3. If the trainer has targeted this race off the back of the C&D win, Silky Wilkie is impossible to ignore at 8/1.

Two Tempting carries the highest RPR in the field at 112 and won this race before (2023). The consistent Jonathan Portman-trained seven-year-old ran second last time, and his TS of 99 marks him as the fastest horse in the race over a comparable trip. La Botte (RPR 110, TS 75) is lightly raced and immensely talented ??' Sporting Life and several tipsters fancied him before he shortened dramatically ??' but his low TS of 75 suggests his Tapeta speed profile is unknown. Wolverhampton's sharp nature with a flat 1m½f trip perfectly suits Two Tempting's proven profile. Proven C&D form seals the argument.

A Gimcrack Group 2 winner who beat Symbol of Light and Big Mojo as a juvenile. Absent all of last season, his Lingfield comeback over 6f in the Kachy Stakes showed he'd retained all his ability, travelling supremely well before just flattening late. That run screams 'strip fitter.' Andrew Balding won this race three times, including back-to-back successes, and is in rampant 35% strike-rate form. A drop to the 1m trip and Wolverhampton's sharp, tight nature suit his turn of foot. RPR of 112 dwarfs the field.

Henery Hawk is the model's selection. He carries the highest OR in the field at 53 and posts the best RPR of 60 and best TS of 54 ??' both clear of the rest. The C&D flag is crucial: he has form at this exact track and trip and finished a tight third at Newcastle over 5f in January, beaten just half a length. Linda Perratt's seven-year-old has placed in four of his last five starts, showing admirable consistency at this level. Three market tips support him. At 4/1 he's not overpriced given the ratings edge, and Kaiya Fraser continues the partnership.

Rosieisme Darling is the clear model selection. She carries the top OR of 59, best RPR of 58 and best TS of 50 in the field ??' all posted when winning over this exact 5f trip at Lingfield just ten days ago by a neck. Luke Morris, who rode her in all five recent starts, retains the ride. The D flag confirms course form. Three market tips back her. She beat Life After Love by a neck at Lingfield on her last start. The step up to Wolverhampton Tapeta from Polytrack is the only unknown, but her consistency and clear class edge make her the undisputed model pick.

Towerlands is the main market rival and the model's second pick. He won at this C&D on 3 February (RPR 90) and then ran a creditable third at Lingfield over 12f on 21 February (RPR 90, TS 75 ??' his best speed figure). Jack Doughty has ridden him in all five recent starts ??' trainer-jockey loyalty is a strong signal. Four tips back him. The step up to 9½f from his recent runs suits. Card RPR of 96 and TS of 81 are excellent. The model places him narrowly behind Mr Nugget purely because the latter's handicap advantage and winning run are so compelling at this stage.
