A weak race with plenty of question marks against most, so a chance is taken on this horse, who is an eight-time winner (a record rarely seen at this level). Mark has dropped massively now, proven at the trip, goes on the AW and drops into a 0-55 for the first time.

Won with plenty in hand last time out, and even with a 5 lb rise, he's still very well handicapped on last winter's form. Was beaten just a head on only run (over CD). Seems to come into form at this time of year and the jockey takes off 5 lb (negating that rise). Massive chance.

Unexposed compared to some in here. Finished midfield in a maiden over 1m 4f at Wolverhampton in December and there are some solid 70??'80-rated horses who beat him that day, so the form looks good. Too keen over 2m here last time on handicap debut, but back down in trip and off a mark of just 55 does look potentially lenient on just his second try in this sort of company. Big run on the cards.

Only career win to date came over this CD last October (won by over 2L) and is just 3lb higher today. Ran a respectable 4th when sent off favourite last time out and that was off an 87 day break. Should be fully tuned up with that run under her belt, she's a CD winner, on a decent enough mark still and is still relatively unexposed. She could easily get her head back in-front today.
