I'm backing England to win Group L because they have the strongest squad in the group by some distance and more quality in almost every area of the pitch. I'm backing Brazil to win because, even though Morocco are one of the toughest non-European sides in the tournament, Brazil still have more quality and more players capable of deciding a game on their own.

Scotland look the stronger side coming into this game, and this feels like a really important match in terms of setting the tone for their World Cup campaign. Haiti deserve respect after some impressive recent results, but Scotland have more experience playing against higher-level opponents and usually look well organised.

Scotland should have enough quality to win this game, but Haiti have shown they are capable of causing problems going forward. Haiti's confidence is high after recent performances, and they won't be afraid to attack when opportunities appear.

Germany should dominate possession, territory, and chances. The quality gap is huge, and Curaçao will likely spend long spells defending deep.

England have the stronger squad depth, more pace, and more attacking options. They should have enough quality off the bench to decide it late. Croatia still have serious experience and midfield control, but they are not as dynamic as England across the whole game.
