  Definitely some value with Wattimena here, who won their last two head-to-heads and was unlucky not to beat Anderson in his third-round game at the Worlds. Dobey, on the other hand, lost out in his second game against Gilding after giving away a set in his first-round game against a Chinese player. Also, at the Players Championship Finals, Wattimena went one round further than Dobey. Based on recent form, Wattimena has the edge, although it's tough to predict how much that form has been maintained after a break of almost a month since Ally Pally.

  In this new format, one break and one hold of throw can win you a set. Zonneveld has gained confidence after some solid wins at the Wolds. He beat Smith and now got through the qualifiers, throwing some solid darts. With Anderson, it's always a question of how motivated he will be. Zonneveld has beaten him before, and I think he'll be able to at least grab a set.

  McGuirk managed to get his tour card and already played well on the Challenge Tour last season after becoming the first Irish WDF World Champion in 2024. He had to come through five qualifiers to get here and averaged well in the 90s in most of them. Aspinall had a rather disappointing run at the World Championship, which probably also caused him to miss out on the Premier League. He did play very well at the World Series, and I don't think McGuirk will be able to beat him. But grabbing a set should be possible.
