It has been forgotten that: 1) Nathan won the World Matchplay in 2023 , 2) these players are tied in the last 4 H2Hs, and 3) Nathan´s average in the first-round was similar to Littler´s.

Josh made a quick win in the first round, but it relied on the lack of precision of his opponent. Stephen, who enjoys the Blackpool atmosphere, showed a higher average and greater strength to defeat the debutant Niels Zonneveld 13-12. Rock's performance in 2026 has suffered a dip in consistency.

Gian van Veen, world #3, has declared himself the underdog in this match. Wessel Nijman, world 14th, has shown great Pro Tour consistency along 18 months.

I expect a tight battle. Wade's vast Blackpool experience and outer-ring accuracy give him the slight edge over 21 legs, predicting a 11-9 or 11-8 victory for James Wade.... or may be Ryan Searle imposes his rhythm.
