Sprinting is a confidence game and there's none coming in with more confidence than Jasper Philipsen who won Stage 1 on Saturday. We've seen in previous years that the same faces can dominate the sprints throughout the 3 weeks and I'm sure he'll be going all guns blazing to follow up.
EW @
Roglic isn't the force of old, and his status within his Red Bull team looks under threat by Florian Lipowitz, who finished a good 3rd in the Dauphine behind the two market favourites. He raced well to finish 7th on his Grand Tour debut in the Vuelta last year. It looks open behind the front two, and he is going under the radar at 33/1.

I'm a big believer that the first sprint stage sets the tone for the rest of the Tour, and the winner often ends up claiming multiple stages and ultimately the green jersey. I'll be backing Philipsen for Stage 3, and I think anything bigger than evens looks a big price on the back of his impressive win in Stage 1.
