England are the side I trust more at Headingley. Root's back leading them, and with Archer, Atkinson and the rest of that pace attack around, they've got the kind of bowling that can make things hard if there's any movement. Pakistan are coming in with confidence, but England at home is still a much tougher job.

England haven't been perfect recently, so I'm not acting like this is easy. Pakistan just won in the West Indies and Shafique made a huge score, so they've got something to build on. I like England more though, mainly because of the home conditions and the quality they've got with Root, Brook and that bowling attack.

Root knows Headingley really well, he's back as captain, and England are going to need him if Pakistan's bowlers get on top early. If England win, there's a good chance Root has a big part in it with the bat.
