On for a 5-timer, which again I would usually ignore had it not been for the fact he's not weighted out of this. He's 11-8 today, but ignoring the win LTO, he's won off 11-10 and 11-12, so I'm willing to go small on him and enjoy the race.

This horse doesn't jump straight off the page at first glance. However, he is the most suited to this race along with the trainer and jockey. He's running off his lowest ever weight as far as I can see, and over this C&D LTO he came 3rd off 3 lbs higher. He came third that day (25 days ago) by 2 1/4 lengths. At the price and 4 places, it may be worth going each way.

Statistically, the most suited horse, trainer, and jockey for this race. This horse hasn't quite found his level yet. Connections think highly of him, having him start life in a class 4 (5th), then straight into a class 2 (last). His latest run was in a class 5 and he came 3rd of six. None of that shouts ready winner. I'm on the side of "well, at some point the penny will drop." The last two times he's raced keenly and the races were far too long to get away with that. If anyone can settle him, it will be James Doyle.

Market Rasen, in my experience, is a hard place to win at. So this selection having C&D, Going, and Class wins to his name is a good place to start. It's all about the kick from the last turn. If you can get your horse ready at the apex to give it all, you should be thereabouts at the end. S Bowen is good at that, but his ride hasn't won here. Our selection has been in pretty good company recently, and I'm guessing that's the excuse for the form. Back to class 3 today, so I'm expecting him to be competitive.

Lots of positives for this colt. Started life with a hat-trick, then a second. LTO didn't get a clear run, so that was forgivable in my opinion. I like the jockey. I don't think he will make the same mistake as last time.
