04:00 Alexandre Pantoja v Kai Kara France

Alexandre Pantoja

Win Fight

100 WIN

@1.40

Win

Alexandre Pantoja has an unbelievable chin, along with exceptional ju-jitsu, very strong wrestling, and power in big swings. He is a truly top quality fighter. Kai Kara-France has possibly the heaviest hands at 125 lbs, and is a little tank. But I don't think he's the one to crack Pantoja's chin, and I don't think he'll be able to fight off Pantoja on the mat or in the clinch. I expect it'll be a little back and forth, but that Pantoja wins, and probably by a rear naked choke.

23:00 Payton Talbott v Felipe Lima

Felipe Lima

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.53

Felipe Lima is an exciting prospect, who seems to have a mix of everything. Payton Talbott has nice striking, but his grappling and general strength was called into question in his last fight. Lima has been fighting at 145 lbs, and doing well, but now at his proper weight class of 135 I expect he'll dominate Talbott. He'll have the physicality edge, and will present a definite submission threat. Lima will even be a threat on the feet, despite that being where Talbott will want the fight.

22:40 Jamahal Hill v Khalil Rountree

Khalil Rountree

Win Fight

100 WIN

@1.91

Win

Khalil Rountree is a different fighter now than the one he used to be. His striking and conditioning are now top notch, and his physicality is incredible. He's explosive and composed. Jamahal Hill has got decent boxing, power, and timing. But he doesn't have the movement or speed to match Khalil, and he needs that to avoid Khalil's huge bombs. Even if Hill has success early on, I still favour Khalil to get through it and eventually land something massive. Then he has the wherewithal to make the right decisions to end the fight.

Khalil Rountree has too much explosivity for this fight to go the distance. I expect he will land something big on Hill's chin, and has the finishing instincts to secure a knockout win.
21:40 Curtis Blaydes v Rizvan Kuniev

Curtis Blaydes

Win Fight

100 WIN

@1.44

Win

44

Blaydes is a top 10 MMA heavyweight, but he's not quite as good as the absolute best. He loses to them because they either have the speed, power, or explosivity to get through him. Kuniev, on his debut, is not that kind of fighter. Blaydes has heavy hands and solid wrestling, and should really make straightforward work of Kuniev.

Curtis Blaydes KO TKO or Disqualification

Outcome 5-Way

50 WIN

@2.40

Blaydes has the striking to either get a knockout on the feet, or a ground and pound knockout victory. He also has the wrestling to control Kuniev on the mat and get that GnP.
21:10 Tofiq Musayev v Myktybek Orolbai

Myktybek Orolbai

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.67

Win

34

Orolbai is a quality prospect/fighter with an incredible tank. His wrestling is nonstop and his right hand is solid. He should beat the 35 year old debuting Musayev, who has power and some decent qualities, but doesn't seem to be on Orolbai's level. But taking into account the catch-weight, and the fact Musayev is the hometown fighter, it's only a reasonably confident pick in Orolbai. Despite the fact Orolbai looks to be the far better fighter.

20:40 Nazim Sadykhov v Nikolas Motta

Nazim Sadykhov

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.22

Win

11

Sadykhov is the better fighter - more technical, more well rounded - but Motta has power. What makes me think Sadykhov gets it done is that despite Motta's power advantage, he is too one dimensional with it. i think Sadykhov wins the fight, and if he's on form I think he could do it any way he wants. But it's only a reasonably confident pick, due to the big power danger of Motta that you have to take into consideration.
19:40 Seokhyeon Ko v Oban Elliott

Oban Elliott

Win Fight

100 WIN

@1.20

Lose

-100

High confidence on Oban Elliot, the superior fighter in this matchup. He's quicker, smarter, has better movement, better timing, and he can connect with something or more consequence than Ko. I expect Elliott to spend a round getting his rhythm, and then to let his hands catch a stiff and relatively slow-to-react fighter hard.

Oban Elliott KO TKO or Disqualification

Outcome 5-Way

50 WIN

@4.00

Lose

-50

Oban Elliott was on a run of decisions, but his KO of Basil Haffez in his last fight showed his development. I believe Ko is too stiff to not get knocked out here. He doesn't seem the quickest witted, and his reflexes aren't the best. But Elliott can crack, and I think he'll win by knockout here.
18:40 Melissa Mullins v Daria Zhelezniakova

Melissa Mullins

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.40

Lose

-50

Mullins has already beat Zheleznyakova, before they were in the UFC. Mullins will win this fight for the same reason she won the first - she may have inferior striking and movement, but her ability and strength on the ground is far, far better than Zheleznyakova's. Mullins will get on top and finish this fight, just like the first.

Melissa Mullins KO TKO or Disqualification

Outcome 5-Way

50 WIN

@3.25

Lose

-50

Mullins won their first fight (pre UFC) by ground and pound. I expect the exact same result here, due to her superiority on the mat and her aggression. If Mullins has been working on submissions, she may try to finish the fight with a sub to prove her development, but I'll gamble she sticks with what she knows - ground and pound TKO.

18:10 Irina Alekseeva v Klaudia Sygula

Irina Alekseeva

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.40

Lose

Alekseeva is a low level women's fighter with lots of flaws. But she's tough, tenacious, and has finishing ability. Sygula is a low level women's fighter with the same amount of flaws but no real virtues. Alekseeva should be too vicious for her, end up on top, and do real damage one way or the other.
17:40 Tagir Ulanbekov v Azat Maksum

Tagir Ulanbekov

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.22

Win

11

Ulanbekov is the superior fighter - an excellent submission threat, long for the division, and reasonable striking. Maksum does have the superior striking, but can find himself in positions where a top tier submission specialist could submit him. I predict Ulanbekov to win via submission or decision.
17:10 Hamdy Abdelwahab v Mohammed Usman

Hamdy Abdelwahab

Win Fight

50 WIN

@1.67

Lose

-50

Hamdy is not a great mixed martial artist. He's strong in the first round - he can use his wrestling to smother and tie up opponents, and rudimentary striking to mix things up. In the second round, he can do more of the same, but at a much slower pace, and more laboriously. In the third round he's gassed and will throw lifeless hands while hoping for a clinch situation. But despite his obvious drawbacks, I still think he beats Mo Usman. Mo Usman is simply not good. He seems to have nothing more than a semi-somewhat-effective jab. But that's it. And his getups are terrible. All Hamdy has to do to win this fight is take Usman down three times, once at the start of each round, and do enough activity wise to avoid being stood up. Even if he gasses in the third, Mo Usman doesn't really have anything to really trouble him with. Throw in the fact Hamdy will get the favour of the judges if it goes that far (and I think it will), I have to pick Hamdy here as a reasonably confident pick. Despite not really rating him at all.

Hamdy Abdelwahab Decision or Technical Decision

Outcome 5-Way

50 WIN

@2.10

Hamdy has limited finishing ability and Mo Usman, despite not being much good, is pretty tough. I predict Hamdy lays and prays for 15 minutes whenever he can, in between awkward striking encounters, for a decision win.
