He has been in good form of late, bar a below-par effort when last seen at Fontwell. Interestingly, he was a winner of a Stratford selling race in March. Off a mark of 115, he is now rated 111. And Alex Chadwick's 5lb claim now leaves him on a very attractive mark. Blinkers replace his usual visor, and he has a solid chance of turning the form around with Collingham.

The form of his latest second has been franked by the winner recently, as the winner that day, Bay City Roller, has subsequently won the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster. John and Thady Gosden's horse made a very pleasing reappearance at Chelmsford last time in a good-looking Class 2 contest. He sets a very high standard today.

The yard got up and running with their 2-year-olds in good style last week. And this horse looks to have a great chance in this small field. His pedigree suggests he may be suited by further, so it would be no surprise to see him attempt to make all. He could be a useful sort going forward given his pedigree.
