Still unexposed after only the three career starts with two of those coming over hurdles both under Freddie Gordon, who takes the ride today and continues to take off a useful 3lb. The first of those came at Fontwell when finishing 4th of 14 and was beaten over 20 lengths, he then learnt plenty and improved on that hurdles debut lots to win here at Plumpton over 2 miles. That form looks decent as the 2nd won next time out to boost it, and Chris Gordon / Freddie Gordon both do well here at Plumpton with 18% and 26% strike rates.

Has been in very good form this winter here at Newcastle with 4 wins and 2 runner ups in his last 9. Warren Fentiman is booked who rides this horse well (1st and 2nd the last twice), and he has a good strike rate here at Newcastle with a 19% win rate. He takes off 7lb which could be vital here and this horse is all pace so hopefully he can break well and kick on from the front

Won over C&D on soft ground in February last year on his only other visit here and gets the exact same conditions now which should be ideal. Jack Tudor and David Pipe have a good strike rate when teaming up, especially here at Taunton over the hurdles course (19% strike rate). Should get a good tow into it by Gallopade who will front run as this one likes to be up with the pace, and he has a good chance here so 5/1 looks well worth taking

Concetto won this race last year nicely under Henry Brooke who is booked today by a few lengths, good 2nd last time out here over further finishing behind O'Connell (albeit beaten 9 lengths), but that winner won again a few days ago to boost the form, and the step back in trip to 3m here should be much better. Ground and trip suit here and this one looks like a good each way bet to nothing back over this C&D, and he seems to run his best races this time of the year so well worth a go

I'm also playing a small straight win on this one, he has won once from six runs over hurdles for the O'Neill yard and he also ran well when 5th in a Grade 2 novice at Cheltenham, and on handicap debut at Haydock (also finished a respectable 3rd to the ill-fated Captain Dibble). Promising over hurdles but chasing should be more his game, he's had 2 runs over fences this season and the first went well at Warwick, but on the second start at Southwell he wasn't the same. I think he will benefit from the break he's had (63 days) and he should also enjoy going rignt handed (jumped right a little at Warwick), he will also appreciate stepping back up to 3m and should be involved

Only joined Olly Murphy in November which also came after a break of 602 days, he's had just two runs for him and the first run was quite promising but he was below par last time out. He stayed on well to finish 3rd at Leicester in December when beaten 14 lengths, before finishing a distant 4th of 6 at that same course (beaten 59 lengths). Not only do I feel that second run came too soon for him, a lot of Olly Murphy's runners around Christmas ran below par and the stable is in much better form now, so after a nice little break (38 days) i expect better from this one for Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen and 13/2 looks worth taking each way

Although she hasn't won over hurdles since 2022 she has run some good races in defeat, she has had plenty of racing and has mixed hurdles and the flat, her hurdling record is just 5 wins from 38 starts and 10 other placed efforts. She actually ran in this race last year when a decent 4th and only beaten 4L, and her trainer has a decent record when sending horses over to the UK (22% strike rate here at Musselburgh), so with her being 3lbs lower than last year and a good 5lb claimer in Callum Pritchard booked, I'm willing to take a chance on her each way at 16/1.

He ran a very good race last time out in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown to finish 3rd and was beaten by 9 lengths, Perceval Legallois the winner won a big field listed race yesterday to boost that form nicely, and the horse behind this one in 4th that day also won a good listed race next time out so the form of that race does look really good. This horse thrives in these big handicaps as we know because he won the Galway Plate in July last year under today's jockey and he's run a cracker every time since. He's only 2lb higher than last time out and looks to hold every chance here so he should go well at a nice price and i really like this one today

This one absolutely bolted up in this race last year when winning by 21 lengths very impressively and although he's 5lb higher this time around, he hasn't run badly since (albeit has pulled up and fell). He absolutely loves Musselburgh with two wins and a runner up from three runs here so back here over this C&D he has to hold every chance. This looks harder than last year but he's had a few runs this season so he should be primed for this, and Alan Doyle is booked who claims 5lb so he's effectively racing off the same mark as when bolting up in this last year. Absolutely loves these marathon trips and the ground will be ideal so there's plenty of reasons to expect this one to run a big race here at 9/1 which looks lovely

Did very well for his new trainer Toby Lawes last season which started with wins at Huntingdon and Newbury, before a poor run at Doncaster and then a very painful defeat in the Scottish National at Ayr when beaten in a photo finish, where i had him at 40/1 and I'm still not over that. This season started nicely with a good 2nd to the ill-fated Abuffalosoldier at Cheltenham in November where he stayed on strongly over nearly 3m4f, but followed that by unseating his jockey at Newbury next time out. Conditions look perfect and his stable is in good form, although carrying 11st13lb he has the class to finish in the first 3/4 here but I have to play a straight win because I also like Inis Oirr. I see him as a Grand National horse this or next year so i might play an ante post for April but he will probably need to win here to get in

Smart mare this one who's won 5 of her 8 races under rules and 3 of her 4 races over hurdle, her only defeat over hurdles came last time out when a close 2nd at Newbury in a Grade 3 after 11 months off, and she gave the winner 10 lbs that day. She should strip fitter here and Harry Derham wouldn't be sending one over to Ireland if he didn't fancy this one's chances (he also already had a good winner here this season). Rachael Blackmore is a good jockey booking although she isn't in the best of form at the minute and she doesn't ever seem to win when I back her, but this one has a massive chance. I don't really like backing favourites in a big field in Ireland like this but i do think she's the correct favourite and 9/2 does look worth taking so she should be bang there at a nice price

Hasn't won for 3 years but he ran well on his debut for this yard in May before not running badly on his next start at York, and then he obviously needed the run when well beaten at Newcastle just before Christmas after 210 days off. Ran much better last time out after blowing the start and still managed to finish less than 5 lengths behind the winner, he's a 7f Tapeta winner and his last win came off a 17lb higher mark, so down in the weights and down in class back up to 7f i think he can run well. You'd probably want to see market support for this one too which is exactly what he's getting now so he worth a go each way at 7/1

There are two I like in this race (Scots Poet and Cuban Tiger), they met over C&D on New Year's Day and my one got the better there to finish 3rd and beaten 8L whereas Cuban Tiger was 4th and a further 5 lengths back. The ground was slower and the race wasn't run to suit either and better ground with a solid pace would benefit both of them, both like to be held up and are strong travelers but when push comes to shove i think Scots Poet is the more reliable and quicker horse. His last win actually came against Cuban Tiger at Perth back in April off a 4lb higher mark, so I'm siding with this one although I've also played a small saver on Cuban Tiger too

He does have a poor record over fences with only 1 win from 20 but he has placed in 11 of them, whereas he has 3 wins from 8 over hurdles, so he's quite frustrating and can make the odd mistake here and there but I'm giving him one last chance today. He has the ability to win this but will need to not make any mistakes, he ran well in the Badger Ales Trophy on his seasonal debut at Wincanton before disappointing at Newcastle when pulled up after a bad mistake 5 out, he only went down by a head last time out at Aintree and probably would have won had he not made a mistake at the last beaten by Fortunate Man there who my one gave him 2lb that day. Fav is going in the right direction but i can't back him at 5/2 so I'm giving this one 1 more chance at 11/2 EW

Really can't see this one being beaten today, he was stepped up in trip last time out over today's C&D for the first time and he absolutely bolted home to win by 18 lengths on heavy ground. Gets the exact same conditions today so should be absolutely perfect, and although he's up 8lb that wouldn't have stopped him that day, and the horses well beaten back in 2nd and 3rd have won 3 times from 3 races between them since to boost the form nicely. Steps up in class now and this is harder but he was so impressive over these exact conditions last time out he has to have a brilliant chance of following up again with Harry Cobden now booked too who takes over from Freddie Gingell. The trainer is in good form lately and this horse is very consistent as he hasn't finished out of the first three in his last 7 races winning twice, coming 2nd twice, and then coming 3rd three times. He was most recently seen at Southwell in a good Class 2 race where he finished a close 2nd in a better race than today's. Afadil is the favorite here but that horse was beaten by 62 lengths by my one LTO for whatever reason, and there is no way I can back that horse at the price now after that. Taking a chance on Ann Hamilton's 9 year old here whose stable has been quiet in recent months but she does only have 7 horses, her better ones haven't run since December 27th and I'd guess the weather has been holding them back. She does well with her limited numbers with 42 winners in the last 5 years, and she doesn't do too badly here at Wetherby either over fences with 5 wins and 13 places from 34 runners. Hello Judge hasn't run here before but has a fair record over fences (3 wins, 5 places from 15 starts), and despite a little absence he has a decent enough record when fresh. He won 3 times during his busy novice chase campaign last season and the latest was off 4lb lower, but despite his age i still think he can improve. Today's trip, track, and ground look suitable and at the price he looks worth a go each way

If this one can bounce back to form after two poor runs over fences this season and produce what he is capable of back over hurdles, then I think he can go close here. He hasn't seemed to enjoy fences but if you ignore them and focus on his previous form over hurdles, then it does give him every chance in this grade. He ran 4 times over hurdles last season, firstly ran alright when 3rd on seasonal debut, and although 8th of 14 next time out at Sandown he didn't run badly, he then won easily on heavy ground at Newbury before finally coming a good 4th of 11 (beaten under 2 lengths) off the same mark as today's at Wetherby. All of those efforts would give him a decent chance here and today's trip/ground should suit so he's worth a go each way at 10/1 under James Bowen

Weird one this as he didn't seem to get home over 2m6f at Kelso last time out, but he's actually stepping up further in distance here so they clearly think he stays. He hasn't won over further than 2m4f before and the only time he's raced over 3m was when he was beaten 11 lengths into 4th at Doncaster, but he's always looked like a strong enough stayer over 2m4f and he's bred to stay 3 miles. Good record over hurdles with 5 wins and 3 places from 16 runs and although he hasn't won since November 2023, he's only ran 7 times since and in much better races than this. Good jockey takes off a further 5lb today and he's on a very good mark so looks worth a go each way and hope he does stay this trip like i think he can, then he'll be involved here i reckon

It's been 306 days since this one last ran which in a competitive race like this isn't ideal, but he's won on his seasonal reappearance after 206 days off and has been placed every time after a layoff prior to that so he has a good record fresh. Still lightly raced for a 9 year old with only the 12 career runs (3 wins and 4 places) and apart from one poor run, in cheekpieces which he didn't like he has a decent record over fences. He won on chase debut at Leicester and then followed that up with another win a few runs later at Plumpton, and inbetwen those he ran a good race at Cheltenham when 3rd and beaten 6L (2nd has won since). Off a low weight here and on this ground i think he's worth a little go each way at 16/1 with a good record after a layoff, so hopefully he can be involved at a nice price

Has now had two runs after a break and should be fully fit here and i think they have been trying to get this one's mark down which they've now done, she's now 6lb below her opening handicap mark and that handicap debut was on her penultimate start. Interesting now that the moneys coming for the first time on this horse and she could show a much improved effort here, once again there's an odds on favourite but i think he could be taken on again and there's not much else in this race screaming at me. Jack Doughty is booked again who rode her last time out for the first time and he's still able to claim a very useful 3lb, theres an odds on favorite here but I'm not massive on the jockey or horse anyway so i think it's worth taking on at the prices. Followed that effort up with a staying on 4th from the back and was only beaten 2 lengths in the end in an apprentice race under a 5lb claimer who I really don't rate. Hector Crouch now takes over who has been in good form for quite a while now and that booking looks significant to me, this horse runs off the same mark as last time out and only 1lb higher than his runner up effort at Southwell, and with a better jockey on this time i think he will take all the beating here. He was then put away for 4 and a half months before coming a half a length 3rd at Chelmsford and he probably needed the run there, he makes his handicap debut now off a mark of 79 which looks decent to me and Oisin Murphy takes over now who has a good record for this yard, so looks a very good each way bet to nothing imo

The two defeats by a length in his last four both came over this C&D so he clearly enjoys it around here and if he can just break that little bit quicker today then he can be involved at the finish. He has been dropped a further pound which can only help and he's been caught in traffic issues every time in the last four when making his move, so if things go right here he can win and looks a decent each way bet to me at the price with 4 places on offer

He then followed that up on rules debut over 2 miles at Navan last time out when sent off 16/1 to win by a couple of lengths and looked to have more in the tank, the step up in trip will suit here and he clearly enjoys the bad ground that he will get today (as he won his PTP on heavy). Jockey bookings would tell you that the second favourite Mywayofthinkin is the owner's first choice but that one didn't jump well at all last time out and was pulled up in the end. Consistent sort over hurdles winning twice and placing in a couple of others from 7 runs over them, and he won here over a furlong shorter on heavy ground off a mark of 134 in February last year. Has switched to fences the last twice and ran okay in both, the first of those was at Fairyhouse when 4th of 13 in November and although beaten 19 lengths, the front two where Impaire Et Passe who's a very smart horse, and Staffordshire Knot in 2nd who is no mug either it was a decent effort on chase debut. This horse doesn't do much winning (4-40 under rules) but he's 1 win from 8 on the AW which came here at Wolves on his only other visit. He ran well at Southwell on his penultimate start when 3rd and beaten less than 4 lengths, but he did hang right a bit that day so he could have been closer had he kept straight, and that was also his first start on the AW since August 2021. Below par at Chelmsford last time out but that was also in the same good Class 3 as Revolutionise, and he also drops back in class here and will find this much easier off a 2lb lower mark. His win at Wolves on his only other visit came off a mark of 96 when sent off 2/9F and won nicely by a few lengths, Callum Shepherd is booked now too who's riding well lately and I think this one can run a big race back here at Wolves. He is much higher in the weights this time around but Chad Bennett is booked who claims 10lb, he ran over C&D last time out where he was a good 3rd and beaten 1 and a half lengths behind Charlie Uberalles and Docpickedme, those two horses reappear here but my one enjoys a lovely weight swing with both of those rivals with the jockey's claim so i think the form will be reversed with both. As mentioned already he is a bit heavy and racing off a career high mark, but with a 10lb claimer who's capable i think he's well worth a go each way and he can be involved here hopefully

There's another one I like in this race at a bigger price and that's this one who's last two runs have been much more like it after struggling for a fair few runs, winning both of those nicely and the most recent by 13 lengths. He's back up 8lb from that easy win last time out and in a harder race up in grade, but he deserves his chance in this company after that performance and looks overpriced to me. Emma Lavelle is in good form lately and I think this one can run into a place and be involved here in a wide open race with 5 places on offer

This horse absolutely loves Cheltenham with three wins and one runner up from six attempt and he has the best form in this race, he does saddle 12 stone here but he's the best horse in the race on his day so no worries with that. He returned from a 7 month break here at Cheltenham where he pulled up in November but he always needs the run, he was then a better 3rd last time out but behind two good horses in Djelo and Protektorat. Those two runs should have him bang on for this and back racing on his favourite track off a 2lb lower mark than last time out, i think he will be hard to beat here and 3/1 looks a price worth taking

Still very unexposed after only three career runs and this filly won her first two races over this trip at Newcastle back to back, the first was in a Class 5 where she was sent off at 40/1 and the horse behind has won since. She followed that up by winning again over that same C&D in a Class 4 by a few lengths, she was then put away for 367 days and returned at Wolves last month where she ran a good race that day to finish 6th and only beaten by 3 and a bit lengths on her handicap debut. She just seemed to weaken in the final furlong but that's purely down to race fitness, that race was a Class 3 and she now drops back into Class 4 company off a 2lb lower mark, Tom Kiely-Marshall is booked now who takes off a further 5lb so she's effectively 7lb lower than her good return run. She will strip fitter now and come on from that run loads so I can see her running a good race at a nice price

She's still massively unexposed after only three career runs and the best of those came last time when dropped to 6f after her first two runs being over 7f, where she was a very unlucky 2nd and only being caught on the line by Miraculous who she meets again. That horse is the current 13/8 favoeite but one here enjoys a lovely 7lb swing in the weights with that horse now for just a tiny defeat, so i believe that form will be reversed and I think she will take all the beating here, the value 100% is with Tsarinas Song in this race and i see her going off much much shorter. He was a very good 2nd on his AW debut over C&D three runs ago in October only going down half a length. The horses behind in 3rd and 5th have both won since, the horse back in 6th has won twice since, and the horse in 8th has also won since. Below par on two runs since that at Newcastle but should fare better now returning to this C&D where he set his highest RPR to date, runs off the same mark as that course and distance runner up and Callum Rodriguez is a good booking. Hitched is progressive and Grabajabba is an interesting handicap debutant but I fancy this one to go in, the trainer has a good record here at Southwell and the first time blinkers could also bring out some more improvement so he should be involved at a nice price

Still very unexposed over fences with only the 4 runs over them and he's ran well in them all, he's been sent off favourite in all four of them with the first coming at Galway when a close 3rd (13/8 SP), he then disappointed at that same track with a 12 and a half length defeat into 3rd being sent off 1/1, and then he was a good runner up at Fairyhouse (6/5 SP). He ran a blinder last time out in the Paddy Power Listed Chase at Leopardstown to finish a good 5th of 27, not beaten by loads (13 and a bit lengths) and he was sent off 5/1 favourite yet again for that very good listed race so he's obviously really well thought of. Runs off the same mark here and Gordon Elliott / Sam Ewing are in good form lately, so I can see this one going very close now especially in this weaker race than LTO, he has won a few times on soft and has gone close on heavy so the ground will suit too even if it rains further

This is a competitive race but I really like this one. he's run twice back from a break and returned with a 3rd at Sandown, albeit beaten 29 lengths but clearly needed the run. Built on that return to win a 6 runner race at Doncaster over 3 miles on good to soft ground which is the forecasted ground for this race too. Only up 3 lbs and this does look tougher, but he should be fully fit now after those two runs and has every chance of winning again, Shanagh Bob is a weak favourite and Staffordshire Knot is nothing to shout about. This one should be bang there under Gavin Sheehan and 9/2 looks generous, NAP

Has looked good over fences the last twice, he ran well on his handicap debut on his penultimate start at Musselburgh over 2m4f, before improving from that chase debut and won last time out in a small runner field at Sedgefield over 2 miles where he jumped better, and looked well beaten before the last fence before rallying home to win. Step back up in trip to 2m3f will suit based on his run last time out, (and he won over 2m4f over hurdles) so i think he has a good chance of going in again. He's only up 3lb here and this looks like a weak race again

Only the two career wins from 19 under rules, but they both came over this C&D off marks of 59 and 63, and he's dropped back down to a good mark now 5lb below his last winning mark. He hasn't raced over a mile in 10 runs after being campaigned over further but he's finally back down in trip so much better can be expected. Hollie Doyle is a good jockey booking and I think this one will be bang there back over this C&D on a good mark in a very winnable race.

Although she is only 1-13 under rules and 0-10 in handicaps she has been placed in 5 of her 6 runs on the AW to date off higher marks, she's clearly a much better horse on the AW and she's gone close off marks of 77 and 78 while setting RPRs in the mid 80s, so she's definitely well handicapped for this racing off 73 today. She's run twice here at Newcastle before and was placed in one of them (off 2 lb higher) but they both came over 5 furlongs and she's back over 7 today, which she's gone very close over a couple of times. She also drops back into a Class 5 for the first time in 9 runs and her last three runs have been on turf so she's definitely of more interest now returning to the AW, she's been off for 6 months so has that to overcome but if ready to go i think she'll be involved in a weaker race than she's used too

Have had this one tracked for some time and he ran his best race in ages here last time out when wearing the visor for the first time in what was a good Class 6 handicap, with 3 of the 4 horses ahead all in good form as well as the horse behind him in 5th. The time of that race was good too with I Can't Believe getting involved in a pace duel with the winner, and if the visor can bring out some more improvement then I don't think he'll be far away

Never progressed after winning at Carlisle as a 2yo finding himself outclassed albeit in good races at both Naas and York, and he was then out of action for 428 days presumably due to some sort of injury. He made his return at Newcastle in November, where he clearly needed the run before flopping at the same track next time out, although he did show a bit more in the first time blinkers. His latest run at this track was by far the best when given hold up tactics, and he stayed on well at the end and finished with plenty in the tank (beaten 5 lengths). No headgear tomorrow but he takes a considerable drop in grade, so if he can improve a little from his last run then I think he can be involved for Karl Burke who's in good form at a very big price.

Has some good turf form as a 2yo when with Jack Channon producing several RPRs between 70 and 80, but hasn't shown much for the new trainer in 4 races so far (with 3 on the AW). He ran alright at this track two runs ago, followed by a fair effort at Lingfield last time out when he broke really well from a wide draw but just weakened late on. That looks decent form as 3 of the top 4 were in good form, the winner won his next 2 races, and the 5th has won well over C&D since. The drop to 6f here should be a good move and this looks like a weaker race, if the jockey can get a prominent position from a wide draw like last tim I think he can be involved here at a big price
