He has gone up 5 lbs for that win. However, I think he has still been handicapped well and has a great chance of winning. He looks like one of the best in the field and certainly has a great chance of winning, and with 4 places available at such odds, he looks to have a great chance.

Item is a 2-year-old trained by Andrew Balding. He won very well over 7f at Kempton 4 weeks ago and went clear in the final 150 yards or so. He has been upped to 1m, which I think will suit after the final stretch away. He also has a Group 1 entry at Doncaster, which shows how much confidence the yard has in his ability. I think Item will win this race, and the forecast bet of Item 1st and Blue Courvoisier 2nd is the best bet.

He lost out by half a length to Ancient Egypt, who has since gone on to win a class 2 by 1 and a half lengths, so the form is strong. In this race where he lost by half a length, he was winning at the 6f marker by a couple of lengths and faded out. He makes the drop back from 7f to 6f, which I think will suit perfectly, and drops to a class 5 classified where I think he will be too good for the rest.
