Down Memory Lane is today's nap! Madara is clearly in with a chance, and I'm not sure if the handicapper has given McLaurey enough to carry, despite my doubts about the depth of opposition in a couple of earlier performances.

Given a clear round, I believe The New Lion should beat Lossiemouth. Although that is obviously a cause for concern. I'd love to see Golden Ace repeat, but analysis suggests that it won't happen.

Iroko is a great favourite of mine, and I'll support him again. Myretown looks better to me than many would suggest, and my outsider of the day is Patter Merchant in a race that could prove a very competitive handicap, as a race at this level should.

De Boinville aboard may be the deciding factor in this race. Henderson's two are very similarly rated in my book, and I expect a serious challenge from Amess, which looks one of the each-way bets of the day.

In possibly the most competitive race of the day at the Festival, I believe Kopek Des Bordes just has the edge over the consistent Lulamba. The penultimate run should be discounted.

Using my analysis formula suggests that this runner is 3.7 lengths superior to any other in the field with Old Park Star and Mydaddypaddy the only others with serious wining chances.
