This is a much tougher contest than the one that he won over two miles at this track earlier this season. He has regularly shaped as if a longer trip is going to suit him, so it is interesting that his yard steps him up in this better race.

Held up in the last and never put into the race on his chase debut at Clonmel last time out. He won at this meeting last year on deep ground and is only two pounds higher here, with Ryan Tracey an interesting and rare booking for the stable ??" a jockey who knows this track very well.

Soft ground seems important to him, and he has gone well when fresh in the past, so a break since he was last seen is no concern. He is the sole runner on the card for the Charlie Longsdon yard, who have won with 42% of the chasers that have been sent to this track.

Very hard to know what to expect from him from one race to another, but he was a solid second in this race last year. Pulled up on his seasonal debut (as he was last year) is not such a concern given his inconsistency. His best came when winning over C&D at the end of 2023, so he could be sparked by the return to this track.

Fair enough type as a hurdler but has huge potential now that he goes chasing for the first time. It is interesting that his red-hot yard put him straight into a race like this on his handicap and chase debut, with his half-brother a C&D winner in a deeper handicap than this a few years ago.

French raider enjoys plenty of cut in the ground. He won a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last season and looks more than capable of being competitive at this level in what is not the strongest renewal of this race ever run.

Three pounds better off than when thrashing the favourite in a match race last season. He is not all that consistent, but he enjoys some cut in the ground, which he will get here. He is on a very workable mark and could be considered overpriced on that success.

This is a much tougher ask for her than she has faced of late, but she absolutely adores this track. She is the winner of five of her eight starts here, so she always deserves a huge amount of respect when she goes to Southwell.

Beat a multiple subsequent Listed winner at Sandown in January before competing in a Grade 2 at Kelso and a Grade 1 at Aintree. This is a massive drop in grade compared to the Greatwood on his seasonal return, so should be capable of better here.

Doesn't always finish his races the strongest, but he has been in the mix in a bet365 Chase at Sandown, a Galway Plate and a Topham in the last 20 months. The last of those shows that he can handle some different obstacles. The first shows that he stays this far, and the middle shows that he has the class, so he is interesting at a price.
