A wide draw is not ideal for him but perhaps that can be offset by the return to this distance. He finished off his race strongly over 6f here last time out and all three of his turf wins have come at this track, including one over this distance. Is on a very workable mark on the pick of his efforts.

A typically interesting type stepping up markedly in trip on handicap debut for this yard. He only ran well in one of his three runs for a mark, but that was enough to think that if he can produce that level again, an opening mark of 62 would see him thrown in.

All three of his turf wins have come over this C&D. Sent off as favourite over a mile here last time out, the extra furlong just saw his stamina fade. On a workable mark on the best of his form, he also has a 5lb claimer to help with his burden.

Showed only limited ability last season in three starts for a mark but he is bred to be much better than this opening mark of 59. The horses that finished around him in those runs suggest that this mark is more than workable. He has been gelded ahead of his handicap debut and it's interesting that powerful connections have persisted with him.

Fresh has been the time to catch him so far in his career, winning a Class 5 over C&D on his opening start last season. He is 4lb higher here but he won that by more than three lengths so there is plenty of wiggle room in this rating.

A winner the only prior time that he ran in a Class 4 over C&D back in September. He is only a couple of pounds higher here and won with more than that in hand. Shaped well enough in a couple of Class 2 events in the spring and will appreciate the drop in class.
