Well, for pretty obvious reasons, top-10 player Andrey Rublev is the pick here against some random Mexican 493rd ranked player on hard court.

A lot of sharp money has gone towards Daniel Altmaier, and I can't blame them. 100 rankings separate these two players, and Krueger has looked really bad lately.

Anisimova is on a roll right now and can't be stopped. She hits perfect flat groundstrokes on grass, and Pavlyuchenkova's old feet can't keep up with this tempo. Anisimova also leads head-to-head 3-0 already.

Carlos Alcaraz is a back-to-back Wimbledon champion and playing unreal tennis. It's hard to see any weakness in his game since even his serve is starting to roll better.

Naomi Osaka will have to be sharp at the beginning of the game, since grinding a three-set match against Siniakova would be a bit of a problem on grass. She should know this and play hard in the first set.

Naomi Osaka getting a +1.50 handicap with 1.91 is worth taking here as the ML is also priced at 1.91. Bookers seem to have underestimated Naomi Osaka based on last year, but this year she has proved that she is still capable of taking good victories. Also, Siniakova is nowhere near a top singles player.

Normally, I don't trust much in Andrey Rublev, but in a best-of-five format, it's hard to see Lloyd Harris getting three sets in 2025. He needs absolutely perfect serving and tiebreak outcomes to do that. He can't break Rublev.

Amanda Anisimova double bageled 33rd ranked Putintseva in the first round 6-0, 6-0. She has looked comfortable on grass and super focused this summer.

World number one, obviously a huge favorite in this match-up. She has a clear path to the finals for the first time in Wimbledon. The first round shouldn't be a big problem.

Anything else than 2-0 for 31st ranked Krueger would be a huge upset here. Mika Stojsavljevic is a 16-year-old, 800-something ranked wildcard player who doesn't belong in these matches. The skill level difference is just too big here.

Her skill is very well known, and big things could be coming in her career. She has shown better mental capacity this year with her new coach, and she is also playing more smartly and maturely now, not only trying to hit winners with every shot. She was a quarterfinalist in 2022, where Halep stopped her from going to the semifinal, which looked like a done deal after she beat Gauff. A lot of things have improved for Amanda this season: her fitness is a lot better, the most important thing she lacked, her mental game, is a lot better, her shot selection and gameplay strategy are a lot smarter and better, and also her serve has improved a lot. Anisimova should and could reach at least the quarterfinals this year, with a good chance to go to the semifinal to play against Sabalenka. Definitely a dark horse to win this tournament if she can keep her focus and mental game strong.

There was a bit of concern about how Khachanov will perform on grass, but not anymore. He just beat Djokovic 2-0 and earlier Felix Auger-Aliassime and also twice against Bergs. Khachanov and McDonald have also played this grass season already, and Khachanov took a win 2-1. Head-to-head favors Khachanov hard as he leads 5-0.

Usually, I don't trust Andrey Rublev nowadays, but now he has a favorable opponent. Clay player Laslo Djere is just bad on grass. A 10-18 career record tells everything about a player who has been a top-tier player for a long time already. Rublev has had good runs on grass in 2021 and 2023. Last year was a total disaster, so now it's time to make a run again. Head-to-head is also good for Rublev as it stands 5-1. Djere's only win came when Rublev was 18 years old back in 2016, and the match was played on clay.

Carson Branstine already lost hope after she saw the draw and number one player Sabalenka. She wrote on X that "maybe one day I'll get a good draw lol." That tells a lot about this match-up. Sabalenka is just too good, and after a devastating Roland Garros final, she will not let any set slide here.

After a good clay season, 19-year-old up-and-coming Australian Maya Joint has looked strong on the green grass surface also. She definitely has felt comfortable as she has beaten Jabeur, Raducanu, and Blinkova in this tournament already. Pavlyuchenkova's road to the semifinal has been a lot easier. She has faced only three mediocre players from around the 80 rankings. This surface is also too fast for Pavlyuchenkova's injury-prone 33-year-old body.

Bookers have reacted since Swiatek hasn't won every match anymore. I would take 1.67 against Swiatek anytime against Alexandrova, no matter what surface they play. Of course, if Swiatek already starts tanking and resting for Wimbledon, then Alexandrova would have a chance.
