Things didn't go his way in the Turners when he was favourite. He got too far back and ended up being pulled up, so he comes into this race a bit fresher. That might be enough to give him the edge.

This horse has had wins in point-to-points, bumpers, hurdles and chases, and he can surely go close again, getting 12 lb from the top weight and favourite. On soft ground over 3 miles this can be telling, and the selection ran a good second in desperate ground in the Thyestes.
