This horse has a typical profile for a Karl Burke Ascot two year old. It has had a couple of runs fairly close together to get the horse race fit and race savvy. Has run well at five and six furlongs so the trainer knows the horse has the stamina for this cavalry charge. Whether it has the speed we shall see. The horse is well drawn in the middle.

Julia Augusta is off the same mark of 97 as it was last year when running sixth behind Running Lion here at The Royal Ascot meet. The horse has had the same prep this year and could be stronger at the finish. Tried to run down the winner last year and paid the price by fading in the final furlong from second to sixth. Maybe being made less use of will help the horses work has get home. Being by No Nay Never means the horses work has has plenty of speed in its pedigree and a slowly run race would surely suit here.

This horse has been the subject of a massive punt this week where it started at 100/1. Kevin Burke ( racing manager to Joseph O'Brien) states that this race has been the objective for the year all along and that the horses work has been attuned to being ripe and ready today. The JOB team have been in excellent form recently and their horse ran well here yesterday to confirm their well being.

This horse should be better suited to the ground than Old rival Anmaat and should cement its superiority over that horse over this distance. This is Aidans choice from a number of ante post entries and he always talks up the battling qualities of this horse.

With One Look looking beatable I am going to side with this horse to recapture its form of winning the 1000 Irish Guineas. The horse made all and never looked like getting challenged. On seasonal debut this horse led as usual but started to hang in the final furlong behind Rosallion and other top class horses. Rosallion proved the importance of needing a run when running much better yeaterday and I expect this horse to do the same today.

With all the races available to this horse it is surprising that the horse is being raced over an extra half mile here today. Last time out the horse ran a very promising fourth in the Dante behind big famcies for the Derby who did flop that being said. The Gossen team have started strongly and must think this horse could stay and that Dante form would have made this horse a likely fav before the Derby result.

Beckett loves having winners at Royal Ascot and although this horse seems up against it here with two very speedy horses either big reputations in opposition, this horse equalled the record of No Nay Never here at Ascot -on debut!!! At the odds this has to be the horse to back as its closing two furlongs were exceptional.

Ran well here last year when unlucky not to win and rumours have it the horse hated the blinkers last time which are left off today. Should be fitter than most today and has been backed to bounde back to form over a course and at a distance it runs well.

The horse has an abundance in stamina in its pedigree as many experts have pointed out. Last time out it was pipped on the line by Manxman who reopposses. That day was noticeable for this horse leading for a long way running directly into a strong headwind. The horse may be able to sit in and save energy and that could help it here. The Mullins horses look promising but have to show improvement to win this which they may.

Trained by the master Aidan O'Brien and winning a Group 1 in France last time. The third horse that day -Camille Pisarro won the Prix du Jockey Club next time franking the form in spectacular fashion. I am confident the horse will enjoy conditions today as it won at the Breeders Cup over a mile on fast ground.

Thie horse is by far the most consistent of those at the head of the market and with no Bradsell in the field, the horse could gain another overdue win. Not too well drawn but has had a run this year and that could prove decisive.

Power Blue seemed to improve for the sixth furlong last time, running Albert Einstein close. Finished ahead of Andab last time and it should be close between them again. Hopefully the horse wont try and make all today.

This horse slightly underperformed last time finishing a distant third behind two of todays rivals and just ahead of Notable Speech. The horse had been of for the lonvest of all 4 so may be able to illicit the most improvement. There are no issues regarding weight, draw or ground and the horse has won over course and distance. Price is short considering it only finished third but Hannon ( the trainer) has always held this horse in the very highest regard.
