Gwennie May Jem pulled up last time out when racing too keenly. He is a horse that likes to lead from the start, and it can be all or nothing. It can work in his favour; he won at Lingfield this January over this distance. I think he is a big price, and if he races how he usually does, he could well challenge for the top three.

Bubble Dubi could give a good account of himself today. He last had a run out at Newbury in February, finishing 8th. In the previous race before that, he won at Aintree in November on good ground. I think he is a horse that's in form. He's 2 pounds off his winning weight at 11/5. I think he will improve on his performance at Newbury and, for me, he will have each-way claims.

Spartan Fighter has won here 4 times in his last 6 races. So 4 wins in his last 6 races and a second in there too. He loves Newcastle. He came nowhere in his last race when finishing 9th of 10. I think we can forgive him there. He had two races within 4 days, which was too much for him in the end. He hasn't raced since then, so he has had plenty of rest. If he runs anywhere near his best, he can be a contender today.

The conditions should suit him today, given his winning performance at Wincanton last year under these. Cheekpieces fitted, and he is the top-weight horse for this race.

Followcato is a horse in form, winning his last three races. All three wins came on soft ground, and the going looks good to soft in places today. The test for him today will be the distance of 2m6f; his wins have been at 2m4f. He is a horse that likes to go on the attack early and leads all the way to the end. He is coming up against a distance winner in Major Fortune. It is a three-horse race with Major Fortune being the favourite. I think the value here is that Followcato should be at evens and Major Fortune's price is short. I think it's an even race, with Followcato coming into this with the better form. Going off the form, I fancy Followcato to win.

Bunny Bee had a terrible race last time out at Wincanton when pulling up there on heavy ground. However, he was a good second before that at Fontwell over distance on good to soft ground. The going today looks likely to be good to soft. This would suit Bunny Bee if he can find his form from when he came second at Fontwell this January. I think he can challenge for the top three today, and I think he has each-way claims. The favourite in this race was beaten last time out by a big outsider here at Exeter. It's a big price for Bunny Bee ??" I see value.

Big Bert with trainer James Owen and jockey Sean Bowen. A big price for Big Bert; he did fall last time out at Fontwell. However, his race before that he finished second at Huntingdon over the distance and going. I think the price is too big for Big Bert, and if he runs like he did when finishing second, he could challenge for the 2 places.
