I do like the second fav back in trip, but on looking at Say What You See, he drops significantly in grade and has been running consistently well. This looks a golden opportunity to get his head back in front.

Up in grade here and as such gets in off bottom weight. Not only that, he also gets a nice 5 lb claim from Rhys Elliott and is due to go up 2 lb in future. With all that, he is 7 lb well in. He acts on the course, as he showed 10 days ago when second of nine, so looks a little overpriced.

Won very nicely under Henry Callan at Lingfield on the all??'weather seven days ago and tried to back that up on turf three days later, only to meet no end of trouble. I think, to be honest, it was a poor ride. Now reverts back to the all??'weather with Callan back on board, he can win once again.

Started his career as a 2yo with Ed Walker, with a 3rd of 12 at Sandown before winning on his second start at Ascot. He was sold and sent to race in Hong Kong, where he was extremely disappointing with no win or place from 17 starts. Sold again and now back with Ed Walker, who is obviously a genius, as he won on his first start back and then was 3rd of 7 when a short-priced favourite. Back on turf today can suit him and with the yard and jockey firing in the winners, he can go well.

A very easy winner on Monday who looks to quickly follow up. Did have a 5 lb penalty for that win, but it's offset by a very good 5 lb claimer so is off the same mark taking that into account. If here in the same heart it should be very tough to stop a repeat.

I will be backing Urban Road each way, but the top-weighted Nicator does a 440-mile round trip from Newmarket and definitely catches the eye. Three starts in 2025, with the last two at Southwell (runner-up on both occasions) on the all-weather, with the form working out extremely well. The winner of both those affairs has franked the form and is now rated 81 and 87, so a mark of 75 for Nicator on handicap debut stands out.

Comes here on the back of two placed efforts, one over course and distance and one nine days ago on turf. Both were good efforts, not beaten far, and my selection is running off a mark of 60, which looks good as he was winning here over this trip under Henry Callanan in January off 58 (taking account of a 3 lb claim). The only negative is the draw, so if able to get away smartly and into a good position he should be tough to beat.

With the Mark Walford yard in such fine form (a treble on Thursday) there is every reason to suggest that Chasingouttheblues can also rack up a treble. My selection has only had 7 chase starts, winning the last twice making it three wins from his last four starts. Here only 4 lbs higher than 27 days ago and off a nice racing weight I'm hopeful he can stay this marathon trip.

With my selection receiving an 8 lb age-for-weight allowance, he may well prove best on handicap debut. He does need some cut in the ground, so the overnight forecast, if correct, will be a big plus. The booking of the talented Tristan Durrell is also a positive. He is probably better over further, but with the weight in hand he can go close.

Prizeland looks the obvious choice stepping up in trip on seasonal debut after two runs as a 2yo. The first of those was promising and then won nicely on second start. The 5th won next time out so the form looks ok and if the extra 4f unlocks anymore potential then the odds although short look value.

A competitive Class 4 handicap, as you would expect for fantastic prize money. Say What You See had a great 2025 and returned to action 14 days ago after a 196-day break. He started where he had left off with a 3rd of 12, beaten 1.5 lengths at Doncaster over 10f. He steps up to 12f on this second start of the season, and that's a trip he won over and finished runner-up at last year. 5/1 effectively is a free bet each way, and he looks primed to go well.

Looked impressive when winning eased down by six lengths at Hereford last month. That was only his second start for Emma Lavelle and he has won on both occasions. I like another at a price here with Lord Byron being well handicapped, receiving a 4yo weight allowance. It's a tough ask, but hopefully the step up in trip can eek out some improvement. The ex-William Haggas-trained Laafi is in here off top weight. The reason behind that is two solid runs over today's trip at Leopardstown and then Kelso. He was just shy of listed level on the flat, and the Durkan 6yo can outrun his odds.

Day one of the Aintree Grand National meeting is ultra-competitive, but I'm hoping the unexposed Henry De Bromhead 6yo can go well at a price. He has only had eight career starts, so is very unexposed, and this will be his sixth chase start. Not seen since Boxing Day when he produced a very eye-catching third of 20, weakening late on. The better ground and flat course here at Aintree look sure to suit, and I think he offers us great each-way value.

Famous last words, but I'm not sure if my selection should be as big as 16/1. Only had eight turf starts (won and placed twice) as predominantly running on the all-weather. This is a Class 5 (0-75), but when seen at Newcastle 11 days ago it was over today's trip of 8f in a Class 4 (0-85) when only beaten 2L. Was short of room late on and Sean Kirrane briefly stopped riding. Some of these may need the run, and with my selection coming here fit, he can outrun his odds.

Despite top weight, she is still well in with the majority of these. She has run at the highest level, and with her record at Listed level being 11212 she should prove a tough nut to crack. The fact she is also against her own sex is another tick in the box. With the yard in form, and Clifford Lee back in the saddle after his horrific accident, the signs are there for all to see.

Winner of last year’s Newmarket Cesarewitch on his first try at 16f+ on the flat. Been looked after since, having only had three all-weather starts, all over inadequate trips, with the furthest being 11f. Despite the short trip he still managed to finish runner-up twice, with a further third place. Back up in distance in this valuable handicap and with regular pilot Billy the Kid Loughnane steering, he is deserving of a skinny price.

Very unlucky 14 days ago when 5th on a Friday Night Live meeting at Wolverhampton, when running into plenty of trouble in the home straight. Comes here and will no doubt need some luck in running again, as he will be ridden cold to hopefully get the trip. I say that as he is stepping up to 8f for the first time. His running style suggests this trip is worth a try, and with the Cox yard in fine form he has every chance.
