Two runs to date have been on the all-weather at Kempton. The debut run is best forgotten, really; finished fourth and was well behind the winner. There was a two-month gap until the next race in September, and she won running on strongly and looking like a different proposition compared to the first run. So, as long as she can handle the turf, she is in good hands with Tom Marquand.

Tough looking juvenile race to call, Malinka is the choice based on how she saw off the re-opposing Torrent back in August. Made her debut in October last year on the flat featuring 5 times without much success, but was switched to hurdles in August and has every chance to continue improving after that win.

2 seconds from 7 runs are the best on offer for this 3 year old who only made he's debut last September. Hasn't been poor really in the other races apart from the recent race at York, maybe the ground was a bit too testing for him, and with better ground today we could see improvement.

Four wins this year for this 4 year old gelding but has gone off the boil somewhat in the last couple of races, particularly at Thirsk last time out when getting away slowly and just not seeming to be with the pace, but as long as the now added cheek pieces have the desired effect he's more than capable of getting back on track.

Yantarni was bang in form back in June when completing a hat-trick, just one race in July saw a reasonable fourth place finish at Yarmouth but then came back form with a second in the shergar cup at Ascot when just headed in the final strides. Put in a poor performance five days later at Windsor,but having not featured since then the batteries may have been recharged for a better effort today.
