A typical late-developing type from this yard. He looks far better than his current handicap mark of 87. He made his seasonal debut 21 days ago at Newbury, finishing a very close 2nd of 14. He was beaten on the nod and would have won in another two strides. That run likely blew away the cobwebs, and he should be 100% match fit today. He steps up to 1m 4f for the first time, and being by Cracksman, his pedigree screams that he will be a much better horse over this longer distance than the 10 furlongs he ran over last time.

She looked like a mare with plenty more left in the tank. While some of her rivals are exposed, Sainte Lucie is a 5-year-old who seems to be improving with every start. It was a run to forget ??" he was bumped at the start, lacked a clear run 2f out, and was badly bumped again 1f from the finish, eventually coming home 12th of 13. He runs today off a mark of 78. His only win came as a 2-year-old at Kempton in September 2025 (7f), where he won a Class 4 novice stakes. The stewards' report from that Bath race confirms he had zero luck. Today’s straight 6f at Ascot is much wider and should offer the clear path he lacked last time. He was gelded over the winter. Often, the second run after a gelding operation (today) is when you see the true benefit of the horse being more focused. W. Buick booked.
