Has won 3 times at this course. Loves it here, and it takes a certain type to win at Hexham. It's a very undulating course with a steep uphill finish. It really catches out those that don't quite have the stamina. Last win here was over 2m 4f off 11 lbs lower than today. Obviously, it's a 2m race today, but with this being a front runner, I think this will set the fractions that suit. Might go hard in front and catch those out in behind. Should have the stamina to go hard and still win from the front!

Massive price this considering its form. Won the Sussex National and was staying on very strongly at the line. Won that by 10 lengths, and as I say, it was going further and further clear after being pushed a lot quite early on. To me, that says this will definitely stay the trip at a more honest gallop. Very dangerous at this price.

Crebilly looks like he's been set up for this, really, if I'm honest. However, he has more weight than I would have liked. This horse seems more value to me with Crebilly now being strongly backed compared to his odds yesterday. I'm going to punt for Each Way just because the signs are clear, really, with the market move for Crebilly. If that doesn't win it, this will surely be right in the mix.

I think the favorite is unproven here, to be honest. I like the profile of this; it has good speed figures and can definitely stay the trip. Whereas the favorite is unproven over this trip, the only real form was in a weak novice race over 2f shorter, so the favorite is definitely there for the taking. This horse has been running in better races than this and going well. It's dropping in class, isn't carrying too much, likes the ground, and can stay the trip! Strong chance! NAP?

This looks like one of, if not the strongest selections of the day. It has everything it needs to go and win this today. Won plenty over C+D, 3/8 times in fact. Has the speed needed to win. This is a very consistent type. It's proven with his 2nd last year. Hasn't been punished nearly enough as the likes of I Am Maximus. Really like his chances here. This is going to be my nap. I think Teahupoo will be hard to beat, but with the form of Gordon Elliot, I just cannot back it at those odds. This is a smooth-travelling, consistent type who will relish this challenge and will love the drying ground. Lovely odds. Will go each way, but I think this has a strong chance of winning.

With the ground drying, it won't be an issue at all. The form of this looks suspect at first glance, but to anyone who knows anything about handicap racing, this has been lined up for this race since winning at Aintree last year. Won off 1 lb lower, it's the most clear and obvious PLOT of the day for me. This would be my NAP; however, you simply have to use your NAP for the National itself.

I was big on Lulamba in this. However, with that being pulled out, I do think this race will play out the exact same as I predicted. However, I just don't see anything getting past Regents Stroll now. This will set an honest pace, and if nothing really pushes it too hard, it'll kick again and win from the front. If the pace is pushed and it becomes a battle, it may be vulnerable to the late stayers.

This race historically suits horses that lead. Ginnys Destiny will certainly try and do that. I know Cobden isn't silly enough to get drawn into an out-and-out battle for the lead. However, he will try and dictate, but if he can't, then he will sit as close to the front as possible. I can make a case for a couple in this, but if Ginny runs her race, nothing is beating her.
