Blazing Griddles

3rd of 15 in this race last year, backed in to 22s from 50s. Poor recent form, but the regular jockey has been missing in its last three races. Back on today and is 3 lb lower than last year. Looks a decent each way shout at 28s.

Won a NHF race at 200/1. The form of that race has worked out quite well, but hasn't done much since then. However, a 5th of 13 in a maiden here last month wasn't a bad run, until flopping at Tipperary over an extended trip. Now back to Ballinrobe again and should outrun these 50/1 odds.

Has caught the eye on a few occasions and did so last time over CD. Hampered at a crucial stage, and the jockey coasted him home in his own time to finish 6th of 15. I am expecting him to at least hit the frame here back at this track again. 18/1 looks fair.

Finished 3rd of 8 on both its last starts over 2 miles here. One in a novice hurdle and the other in a maiden. I wasn't convinced of the effort put in on both runs. Now enters a handicap for the first time and up in trip. Worth chancing e/w at 18/1 though, that today he will be giving it all.

Boskill Borden has finished 2nd and 3rd in its last two runs over CD and is currently 7 lb below its highest winning mark. Looks a pretty good e/w bet to me at 9/1.

Kaproyale hasn't been running that bad over hurdles to warrant a price of 40/1. 4th of 12 in March, beaten on the run in, dropped 4 lb by the handicapper, and a good 3 lb claimer takes over. I'm expecting another good run here.

Got beat on the run in over CD last time out to animals rated 108 and 112. This is a weaker race where the next best-rated horse is 103, so 16/1 in a 4-horse race looks like incredible value for a CD winner.

A winner off 62 and a 2nd off 67 over this CD, races off 63 today and has the assistance of an in-form 10lb claimer on board. The horse looks to be coming back into form again after leading and fading in the final furlong last time out. Worth an E/W put at 18/1 with 4 places on offer.

I'm back now after a little break. I don't agree with racing horses in extreme temperatures, so let's try and find some value bets again. Finding decent form in this race is very difficult in this low-grade affair, but at least Mond boasts a close 2nd over this distance at Lingfield on GF ground. He weakened inside the final furlong at Brighton over an extra 2 furlongs, again on GF. Its last run was very poor on good going, but is back on GF today. I personally think he should run a decent race here, and the 18/1 e/w looks the value.

Una Matata won a CD maiden, beating an odds-on jolly who has since gone on to win two races and is now rated 78. Una Matata hasn't raced on good ground since that CD victory and has now plummeted down to a mark of 69 from 77. This is a very lenient mark, and I'm on e/w at 50/1 with 5 places on offer.

Found 2m 6f too far last time out here at Stratford. Lost two places on the run, dropping back a couple of furlongs today, and has a decent record here at Stratford with form figures of 2, 1, 1, 4. Looks a good e/w bet here at 12/1 if eight go to post.

Just held on last time out at Hereford, beating the hot Henderson favourite. The 3rd horse was 9 lengths further back. Also has good form at this track when 2nd of 12 in a maiden, so worth chancing at 9/1 e/w if eight go to post.

Won this race last year off a mark of 68, beating the top weight rated 82 into 2nd. Races off 63 today, and the top-rated horse here is 80. So why shouldn't this front runner win again? I'm in at 25/1 e/w.
