Has won twice here, one over 6 furlongs and one over 7 furlongs and that was last time out, both of which were from stall 1 and he goes from stall 1 again today but over 6 and half furlongs which shouldn't be a problem as he led from start to finish only 57 days ago. Still 7 lb below it's highest winning mark and loves Good ground, so what's not to like. Currently priced at 20/1 looks excellent e/w value with 5 places up for grabs. I will be having a saver on Profit Refused at 16/1 who could lead from start to finish.

After a couple of poor recent runs Ceroc now returns to the scene of his neck 2nd over CD in a large field back in May, is only 2lb higher now and has run well in these conditions before but would prefer a bit more juice in the ground, I'm still willing to take a chance e/w at 33/1.

Finished 2nd in this race last year off a 19 lb lower mark, the 3rd horse that day was a massive 15 lengths away, so obviously he has a lot more to do with more weight to carry but he was 2nd in the Killarney National carrying 11 st 7 lb, carries 11st 1lb here so he has to be in with a shout. I'm on e/w at 25/1

Made rapid headway from the back of the field over 3 miles here at Kilbeggan but didn't get home and finished 8th of 14, now dropped another 3 lb and the drop back to 2 and a half looks absolutely ideal, the first time booking of J Slevin also catches the eye. The 22/1 looks good e/w value for a horse that has also won at the course over 2 miles.

I apologise for my followers about the ride given to one of my horse's yesterday. I thought I've worked out non triers in horse racing but yesterday unfortunately I got it wrong. When a horse runs wide all the way round then you may as well rip up your betting slip, enough said. Today's nap is Butterfly Garden who is the only CD winner in this field and looked to be coming into form with a 6th of 14 on the dirt last time out in February, has been given a long break and hopefully this race might have been the target especially as the trainer is in good form at the moment. The horse is very well handicapped now, infact 15 lb below highest winning mark and tends to go very well in June and July. The 8/1 looks the value here and e/w advised if all 8 stand their ground.

Two runs over CD have produced a 1st off a mark of 75 and a 2nd off a mark of 71 has won off a mark as high as 94 so should be well capable of winning this. Well drawn in 13 here and looks a good e/w bet at 11/1 with 4 places up for grabs.

Aviewofthestars was unfancied last time out and finished a close up 3rd on a stiff course at Hexham. The trainer has put him away for 48 days and has probably been waiting to return to the scene of his CD victory here last October, is 4 lb higher now but still only a 6 year old so I would be surprised if there wasn't more to come, same jockey in the saddle again and with 4 places available this looks a solid an e/w bet as you will get all afternoon and will still make a small profit if it doesn't win and just place.

Trainer Paul Flynn pulled a sly one at Sligo with Golden Sandbanks over CD last August. The horse had run three days earlier and finished no where and then turned out quickly to win here. Well is he going to repeat that feat again because this horse ran only three days ago and come no where again, and guess what he's back at Sligo over the same distance , so is he going to pull a sly one again, well at 20/1 I'm willing to risk it e/w with only 9 runners.

Three CD wins from 4 attempts over hurdles and was placed 5 from 5 on the flat if you include a 5th of 14, so in all she has hit the frame on 8 of it's 9 runs here. She is now back on a winning mark again and with a 3 lb claimer on board this one looks ready to win again and looks nailed on to hit the frame at worse. The 13/2 looks a good e/w bet to nothing here.

The trainer will be looking to win this race for the second year running and has three entered up here, but the vote goes to Tom the Plasterer who looks to be following a similar route to last years winner who ran well at Leopardstown before winning this. Tom the Plasterer was 4th of 21 at Leopardstown in May but has run two ordinary races since, but the target has probably been this race. Jockey Robbie Colgan rides and was 2nd on a 100/1 for this stable very recently. This looks a great e/w shot at 16/1 especially with 4 places up for grabs.

This is about as bad as it gets in flat racing, all rated as low as 43 to 50 and only two have won a handicap of which our selection Kraken Filly has actually won over CD and has also finished 2nd over CD on today's forecast of firm going. Interesting to see that Charles Bishop is on board this Filly and no other jockey in this race rides this course better than he does. This horse usually front runs and should stretch these out but tends to fade in the later stages, so I'm hoping that Charles Bishop can eke out that little bit more today, so worth backing at 28/1 and maybe a lay in running at the final furlong pole.

Looks to be coming back into form when finished 5th of 20 last time out at the Curragh, and now reverts to it's favourite course with form figures of 2,2,1 off marks of 83,77 and 69, runs off only 73 today and has got to be worth a decent e/w bet at 14/1 with 4 places up for grabs.

Three wins from three runs in handicaps chases at this course, two of which were over CD including this race last year when winning by a comfortable 8 lengths, is now officially rated 2 lb higher than last year but a 7 lb claimer takes over this time and is infact running off only 10 st 6 lb compared with 11st 2 lb last year. The reason for this is because the top weight in this year's race is a 5 lb better horse than the top weight in last year's race, sounds complicated I know but hay ho, so we should be looking to get at least a place here and 10/1 looks great e/w value.

Loves Good to Firm ground with form figures of 1,2,1,1,2 on it and two of those wins were over CD. Serena Brotherton knows this horse well and won this race last year and has also been placed on another 4 occasions from 6 rides. This looks an outstanding e/w bet at 13/2 if all 8 go to post.
