A pretty mediocre contest as you'd expect but the outsider of the party looks a little interesting here at 22/1. Remains a maiden but has run as though conditions here might be more optimal, and has looked competitive in better races than this before fading late over 6f including at this course in May. Might have a win or two in her at this level and worth an E/W shout.

Consistent filly who dug deep to win here two starts ago over 5f, just 2lbs higher now and shaped better than bare result back here over 5f last time out. Runs over 6f for the first time, and that could bring about further improvement in a pretty weak contest that doesn't need much, if any, improvement to win.

Looked good in a trio of novice/maidens last year, including an impressive win in the mud at Ayr (form worked out well). Didn't take that forward into all-weather handicaps after, but shaped better than the bare result back on turf last time out after a few months off. Down 3 lbs, could strip fitter and improve for conditions. Worth an each-way go at 22/1.

Completed a 4-timer around this time last year, including a win here in soft ground. Not in the same form so far this season, though mostly running in suboptimal conditions. Needs to shake off a very poor run at Thirsk last time over 6f as well, but eased 5lbs and if in the mood should have the beating of these in conditions. High draw not as much of a hindrance in testing ground and looks worth a go at 20/1.

5 race maiden, who is far from straightforward, throwing away several races either by being slow away or pulling too hard. But despite his quirks, he has shown there is some decent ability lurking beneath the surface. Staying on last time out at Chelmsford despite a slow overall pace, having handled the bend poorly. Eased a pound, maybe more suitable conditions here and in a weaker race, is worth a gamble at double digits.

Impressive winner at Windsor after a few months off before a close 2nd at Nottingham just 9 days later (front two well clear). Raised another 3 lbs here but somewhat negated by Taryn Langley's claim. Inconsistent sort who has what it takes to win this race if he's in a going mood. Lurking on a very dangerous mark, and yard changing up the headgear here may help. Despite his inconsistent form overall, he is somewhat more consistent (for him anyway) in today's conditions, was a solid 3rd last time out, eased another 2lbs and looks worth a go at long odds, in my opinion.

Interesting race as you'd expect, but the favorite looks good here. Plenty in hand on debut before shaping better than the bare result when winning in good to soft at Epsom last time, doing plenty wrong. The 2nd in that race looks very useful in his own right, winning a listed next time out in good style (albeit over 5f).

Used to be much better than this (winning a class 4 here off a mark of 79 in 2022). Struggled for this yard last year, often attracting support in the market but failing to deliver. However, back to the winning ways after a 6-month break when returning to this track (suits) over 7f last time out. That performance was enough to take a race like this, even under a 4lbs penalty. Ground seems to be drying well, which suits, and drop to 6f no issue.

Not won since 2023, but plenty of good runs in defeat this season off similar to higher marks. First run at this track, but a stiff 6f likely to suit (most of his previous form is at Ascot). A group horse at his best who could get a well-deserved return to the winner's enclosure today with PJ McDonald taking the ride.
