20:00 West Ham v Man City

Man City (AH) -0.75

Asian Hcap

50 WIN

@-121

Lose

-50

I'll take Man City to keep their title challenge alive against a West Ham side that have been playing better and were boosted by winning on penalties in the cup on Monday. They do concede chances, and City have the players to hurt them.

Omar Marmoush

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+550

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the away side make the breakthrough, ill side with forward Omar Marmoosh. The Egyptian has 5 goals in his last 8 starts.

Nico OReilly

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@+400

Lose

-50

At 4s I'll also take Nico O'Reilly to get a caution here. He is on four yellows for the season and has looked leggy after European games. He could see a card.

Rayan Ait Nouri

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@+400

Lose

-50

At 4/1 I'll take full back Rayan Aït Nouri going into the book today. Rayan has 2 yellows in 12 but getting set up against Bowen could see a yellow.
17:30 Arsenal v Everton

Draw

50 WIN

@+379

Lose

-50

Arsenal have gone almost full strength here, but I think Everton's game is better suited playing away from home. JT is a loss at the back, but maybe they can put in a rear-guard masterclass and come away with a point.

Vitaliy Mykolenko

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@+450

Lose

-50

I'll take a chance on Ukrainian wing-back Mykolenko going into the book today. Vitaliy got booked in Everton's last trip to the capital away to Fulham, and 9/2 is fair.
14:10 Ireland v Scotland

Ireland

To Win

50 WIN

@-227

Win

22

I'm going to take Ireland here. I think home advantage is big, and Scotland have gone to the well a few times this tournament and maybe the reserves just aren't there today. Home win.

Ireland -6.50

Handicap

50 WIN

@+100

Win

50

At under 7 points I think Ireland are the play. If it were 7.5 I may have reconsidered, but my hunch is Ireland will manage the game well, a bit like the Wales game, to secure victory. Ireland have won the last 11 here against Scotland and I can see it being 12.

Over 49.50

Total Points

50 WIN

@-109

Win

Very narrow call this, as I do think 50 points will be about the score. I just thought there could be a bit of late scoring with the Triple Crown on the line that pushes the score upwards.
11:35 Chongqing Tonglianglong v Liaoning Ironman

Chongqing Tonglianglong

50 WIN

@+120

Win

At the prices, I just landed on the home side. I think home advantage might count here. The four previous meetings in the last two years have seen four home wins. I think it'll be the same.

I landed on the unders here primarily based on Chongqing's tight defensive displays over the last period of last season and how they defended last week.

I'll take the win to nil for Chongqing. They are coming off a battling scoreless draw away, while the visitors were well beaten. Maybe confidence is with the home side.

Alexandru Cimpanu

@+850

On the assumption that the home side make the breakthrough, I’ll side with Romanian Giorgi Cimpanu. The attacking midfielder has 3 goals in the last 4 games.

Chongqing Tonglianglong #1-0

50 WIN

@+700

Win

At 7/1 I landed on. A solitary goal for the hosts being the difference in what might turn out to be a cagey affair. The hosts have conceded just 2 goals in their last 8 games.

50 WIN

@-102

Win

I'll take Bodo on the handicap. I think they are underestimated at home and have been on a fine run, with 8 wins out of 8 in all competitions this year. They can take a slim lead to Portugal.

Jens Hauge

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+800

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side make the breakthrough, Illesø with forward Jens Hauge. Three goals in the last five, and so 8s is fair.

Morten Hjulmand

50 WIN

@+209

Win

105

I'll take a chance on Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand going into the book today. Morten racked up 11 yellows and a red last season and 6 yellows this season. He could get a caution in a crunch game.

Odin Luras Bjortuft

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@+500

Lose

-50

I'll take a chance on the Bodø defender Odin Bjørkåtuft. Odin had four yellows and a red last season, and while three in the last 25 doesn't scream 'offender,' I think the magnitude of the game could instill aggression.
20:00 PSG v Chelsea

PSG

50 WIN

@+104

I just landed on PSG. At home they possess the ability to hurt teams with two 3-0s and one 5-0 in the last six games here. Home win

Marc Cucurella

50 WIN

@+250

Lose

I'll take 5/2 about Spanish full back Marc Cucurella going into the book today. 4 yellows and a red in the last 15-odd games.
20:00 Real Madrid v Man City

Nico OReilly

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@+350

I'll take 7/2 about Nico O'Reilly going into the book today. 4 yellows this season. He might be a auxiliary midfielder again.

Richard Kone

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+850

-50

On the assumption that the away side make the breakthrough, I'll side with forward Richard Kone. At 17/2 maybe he is about the right price as the most likely QPR scorer.

On the assumption that the home side make the breakthrough, I'll side with forward David Stralec. Two goals in the last two games. I think he is the most likely scorer. 11/2 is fair.

Anis Ben Slimane

First Goalscorer

19:45 Oxford Utd v Blackburn

Mathias Jorgensen

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+1000

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the away side make the breakthrough, Illumide with Maria Jørgensen. With 3 goals in the last 10 games, he is fairly priced at 10s. I wouldn't put anyone off an each-way bet on Ciaron Brown at 40s to score on the night for Oxford.
19:45 West Brom v Southampton

Ross Stewart

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+650

Lose

-50

I'll take a chance on one of the Mullins string: The Irish Avatar. Won well with reasonable potential to improve from the run. It's very hard to rank the Mullins horses, but this one is potentially class 2/3s.
15:20 3:20 Cheltenham

Conflated

Daily Racing

25 EW

@+2800

Lose

-50

At 28/1 I will take a small each-way on Conflated. I just think he is only a few lengths away from some of these place-chance horses like The Goffer and Vanillier. So, at that price difference, with a bit of luck he can hit the frame, with obviously the top two principals hard nuts to crack.

Favori De Champdou

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@+187

Lose

-50

Favori De Champdou put the fall in December behind him with a comprehensive win in January. A reproduction of that performance and the 11-year-old should take all the beating here.

Chart Topper

Daily Racing

25 EW

@+4000

Lose

-50

I thought Chart Topper, who has been fitted with magic cheek pieces today, is not without a chance. Yes, has to recover from the Haydock fall, but I’ve definitely seen worse 40/1 chances this week.

Storm Heart

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@+500

Lose

-50

Workahead probably didn't advertise Storm Heart's chance here, but I just thought this was a likely target. Having won over 2½ at Limerick, this 2m 5f trip is going to bring about more improvement. Should go close.

Koktail Divin

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@+750

Lose

-50

I'm going to take a chance on Koktail Divin. As he's gotten more used to fences, I think he has a good chance to challenge the favourite here. Henry knows how to prep one for this festival too.

Battle-hardened Oscar's Brother could hit the frame, I thought, at double-figure prices. I think if he can get into a rhythm at the front, he could take a bit of pegging back. Stamina is proven, which a couple of the others have still to prove.

Shuttle Diplomacy

Daily Racing

25 EW

@+3300

-50

Shuttle Diplomacy has drifted out to 33s and, while that is a negative, I thought it was a good effort in January at Naas. It could well be one to finish strongly and hit the frame without winning.

Sober

Daily Racing

@+800

I landed on Sober here. I think without hurdles he would be favourite and stayed on well, I thought, in soft to heavy at Punchestown. Could be the one to trouble the favourite.
01:00 Newells v Platense

Newells

50 WIN

@+220

Lose

-50

2 draws and 6 losses in their 8 games this year, but I'm still drawn to the home side recording a narrow win here. Platense just don't inspire me as favourites here, and while 0-0 could be most likely, I'll take Newells.

Under 2.50

Total Goals

50 WIN

@-277

The unders here is no surprise. Platense didn't give away many chances and didn't take them either. With Newell's blanking in the last 3, I think 1 or 2 goals is most likely.

Newells & No (Result + BTTS)

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

@+332

Lose

-50

As much as the 17/2 about a 2-1 looks tempting, I landed on Newells winning to nil with a goal or two. In the last two games they have been well in it, arguably the better side in the first half of both before wilting in both. I think they could be more resolute if leading 1-0 at half time.

Luciano Herrera

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@+1200

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side make the breakthrough. Ill-suited with forward Luciano Herrera. No goals in the last 5, but he did score 5 in 38 last season. Perhaps he is due a goal.

Newells #2-0

50 WIN

@+1400

Lose

-50

I landed on Newell's getting a goal and then killing the game late on in a 2-0 surprise victory. Platense have conceded 3 goals in their last 6 games, which shows how defensively solid they are, but my hunch here is Newell's get a bit of luck.

Iceberg Theory

I think there is more to come from lightly campaigned Iceberg Theory. Paul Nolan has an excellent record at this festival, and this has probably been targeted for a while.

Peaky Boy

Daily Racing

25 EW

@+2500

A slightly left-field pick is Peaky Boy here. Good course form, and he has to come back from the fall at Newbury. He could be the one off 139 that has capacity to be open to further improvement.

Will The Wise

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@+1000

Lose

-50

At the prices, Will the Wise was the one I thought should give a good account in what many would have set this as a target and managed their marks accordingly. Was a good 6th in attempts last year and is one that could go well.

The New Lion

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@+300

Lose

-50

Not a huge degree of confidence behind selection and strangely, Golden Ace is the most reliable of the top four in the market. But I'll take The New Lion to get the better of the fillies, with the good ground here being a plus. I have a hunch that he will just outlast them. I doubt Lossiemouth can sustain the pace to be close enough by the time they reach the hill.
15:20 3:20 Cheltenham

Iroko

Daily Racing

25 EW

@+700

I'll take Iroko. I think he has course form and could well pick them off late, with this likely to be a frenetic pace. Myretown is likely bidding to repeat in the same fashion, but Iroko should run well.

I've flip-flopped on this race. I watched back last year's Festival races, and while he wasn't fluent at the last, Kopek looked a different class. There is confidence behind his schooling, so I think he is the classiest horse in the race.

I'll take Nicky Henderson's Old Park Star here. A lot of the opposition have potential but maybe haven't hit the same heights yet. It has drifted out to 5/2. It's maybe that adage that it'll take a good one to beat it, and they may not.
