17:00 Viking FK v Haugesund

Henrik Heggheim

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@29.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side makes the breakthrough, I'll take right fullback Henrik Heggheim. Hard to argue with principals priced between 4/1 and 5/1, although Sander made some appeal at 13/2. But Henrik is overpriced. At 28s, he is getting chances and has 2 goals in the first 5 games, which is a good start. Maybe he can keep it going here.
14:30 Luca Brecel v Judd Trump

Judd Trump

Win Match

50 WIN

@1.33

Win

17

I'm going to side with Judd here. His 13-10 win over Murphy doesn't tell the full picture as he was 12-6 ahead and could have been more resounding. In contrast, the 13-4 demolition that Luca displayed, where Ding just wasn't on it, shows Judd at prohibitive prices.

Luca Brecel 3.50

Handicap Betting

50 WIN

@1.90

Lose

-50

I'll take Luca to get into double figures here as they might serve up a classic. Both players have looked good in the balls and can score heavily when the opportunity comes. So, I'll take Luca to stay in the game all the way nearly.

Judd Trump to win 13-12

Frame Betting

50 WIN

@12.00

Lose

-50

I took a position against Judd on handicap in the last first round and got that quite wrong. I do think Luca was a good price to down Ding in the last match and will be slightly overlooked here. But my hunch is that Judd wins, and maybe it will take every frame. 13-12 to Trump.
14:30 Ronnie OSullivan v Si Jiahui

Ronnie OSullivan

Win Match

50 WIN

@1.25

Win

12

I'm just about in the Rocket Ronnie camp, but I do think Si will outplay the underdog tag. Si beat Ronnie in Saudi Arabia in the last match-up, but I think this could go deep with experience telling.

Si Jiahui 3.50

Handicap Betting

50 WIN

@2.10

Lose

-50

I'll take Si to get to double figures in frames. I think he is playing better than credited with. Yes, Ronnie can blow anyone away on his day, and some of the way he raced through to 12-4 in the last round was class. But at the prices, I think Si could get close, and Ronnie may have to pull it out under pressure.

Ronnie O’Sullivan to win 13-11

Frame Betting

50 WIN

@9.50

Lose

-50

I'm going to take Ronnie to just edge this. I don't think there will be a lot in it, and perhaps experience will count in the 3rd and final session.
10:00 John Higgins v Mark Williams

Mark Williams

Win Match

50 WIN

@2.50

Win

75

On their day, either player could win this, and both players showed enough in advancing to suggest this could be a cracker. This could go all 25 frames, and so maybe the value lies with the Welsh potting machine.

Mark Williams 1.50

Handicap Betting

50 WIN

@2.00

Win

50

I'm going to take the Welsh left-hander to get the better of this. My hunch is he has been getting better, and perhaps John may have a few percent off having battled through the last frame decider in the last round. I've taken Mark to win.

Mark Williams to win 13-9

Frame Betting

50 WIN

@15.00

Lose

-50

With nothing much between the prices of what is predicted to be close, I think maybe 13-9 Williams is a fair price at 14/1. He won at this stage a few years ago 13-7, but John is in better form now. Maybe Mark can get a lead and win a few of the mini sessions 3-1, and so could see 13-9 as potential.

18:00 6:00 Punchestown

Fact To File

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@2.20

Lose

-50

I'll take Fact to File here. The Ryanair winner looked so good picking them up that day, and while he may not have the speed of Marine, I think towards the finish he might be the one to assert. I'll take the 6/5.
16:50 4:50 Punchestown

Ballyburn

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@2.62

Lose

-50

Good competition in store in the Mullins camp. Maybe Impaire et Passe might be a little off top having exertions in Aintree. Perhaps Ballyburn can recover the season a bit here. 13/8 is probably fair for this super talented horse.
16:15 4:15 Punchestown

Kopek Des Bordes

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@1.30

Lose

-50

Supreme winner Kopek des Bordes looks like a superstar. While Mundi looked better at Aintree, there is not really a case for a turning of the tables. Prohibitive but most likely by far.
15:40 3:40 Punchestown

Impero

Daily Racing

25 EW

@26.00

Lose

-50

A few interesting ones in the mid-range and maybe at 25/1, Impero was one that could outrun odds. Perhaps had a bit more in hand at Ballinrobe, and while the market here looks a little cold to him, I think 25s is worth a small play for 5 places
15:18 3:18 Nottingham

Cock And Bull

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@3.25

Win

112

I'll take the bell runner Cock and Bull. Expressionless is a good opponent if fully staying the trip here. I know it has before, but I'm not sure here as it has been smuggled into races by good jockeyship. Cock and Bull will be doing best at the finish, and I like his chances against the favourite.
15:05 3:05 Punchestown

Down Around

Daily Racing

25 EW

@34.00

Lose

-50

I'm going to take the Rothwell horse Down Around here. Racing off 108, he was a reasonable 3rd to Timmy Tuesday last time, and that one did well at Aintree after that. Could be better than a 33s shot, and with 6 places, might hit the frame.

Stay If U Want To

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@13.00

Lose

-50

I'll take Stay if you want to hear for Jonjo O'Neill. Good winner at Kelso and looked like a horse that could have more in the locker. 12s looks fair in open contest.
14:30 2:30 Punchestown

Fralimonti Bilbery

Daily Racing

50 WIN

@4.33

Lose

-50

I'll take Fralimonti Bilbery here in the first. Hendrick takes the ride on this winning pointer and takes off 7 lbs in what looks like a winnable contest.
28 April 2025
19:00 Luca Brecel v Ding Junhui

Luca Brecel

Win Match

50 WIN

@2.30

Win

65

I'm going to take former champ Luca Brecel. Probably played better than the score suggests against Ryan Day and maybe is the value pick against Ding.

Luca Brecel to win 13-7

14:00 Bournemouth v Man Utd

Kobbie Mainoo

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@23.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the away side surprises and makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who got 1 goal in the last 2 games.

Luke Shaw

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@3.30

Win

115

I'll take Luke Shaw to go into the book today. The left-back has had on average 8 yellows a season the last 5 seasons and just back from injury could be rusty.
13:00 Zhejiang v Qingdao West Coast

Deabeas Owusu Sekyere

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@8.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward Deabeas Owusu Sekyere. Deabeas had 9 goals last season and is hoping to kickstart goals here.
26 April 2025
19:45 Sligo Rovers v Cork City

Sligo Rovers

50 WIN

@2.40

Lose

-50

I'll take the hosts here in a bottom-of-the-table clash. Cork aren't great on the road and are missing some firepower with injuries. Sligo have picked up of late, and maybe they are most likely.

Owen Elding

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@7.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the CAM Owen Elding. He's been their best player over the past few weeks.

Sligo Rovers #4-1

50 WIN

@46.00

Lose

-50

I'm going to take a chance on the hosts converting a few chances and perhaps running out 4-1 winners. It was 4-1 to Rovers a few weeks ago when Cork were away, and Sligo did score four against Waterford.
19:30 FC Cincinnati v Sporting Kansas City

FC Cincinnati (AH) -1.00

Asian Hcap

50 WIN

@2.05

Push

0

I'll take Cincinnati to win by a couple of goals or more. They have won the last 4 all by just 1 goal, but I think this game could be different. Home win.

Ferreira Evander

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@6.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the CAM Evander. 2 goals last time and is perhaps the most likely scorer after Denkey.

FC Cincinnati #5-1

50 WIN

@56.00

Lose

-50

I'll take the hosts to complete a resounding win here against an SKC side that was slightly fortuitous to win 5-3 last time. They were very clinical, and perhaps it's a tough ask here.
19:30 Toronto FC v New York City FC

Toronto FC (AH) 0.00

Asian Hcap

50 WIN

@1.92

Lose

-50

I landed on the home side here with the suspicion that this game is key for the home side, with them getting detached from the playoff spaces.

Jonathan Osorio

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@12.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the midfielder Jonathan Osorio. Jonathan hasn't scored many of late, 3 in 30 I think, but he has it in his locker to get a goal. 11s is a bit short, but he was the pick.
15:00 Newcastle v Ipswich

Sandro Tonali

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@5.50

Lose

-50

I'll take Sandro Tonali going into the book today. Sandro has 5 yellows in 31 and could be due a card.
12:30 Chelsea v Everton

Chelsea (AH) -1.25

Asian Hcap

50 WIN

@2.05

Lose+Push

-25

I'm going to take Chelsea to win by 2 goals. I think the fact they have something to play for and Everton don't is a factor. Chelsea have a good record at the Bridge against the Toffees. Home win.

Nicolas Jackson

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@5.75

Win

238

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward Nicolas Jackson. The Blues forward perhaps hasn't been the same as before the injury but has shown signs of life, albeit some wasteful ones. But maybe a goal is imminent.

Chelsea #3-1

50 WIN

@13.00

Lose

-50

I found this hard to weigh up with Everton rolling to the end of the season, missing JT at the back, and Chelsea still chasing Europe. I landed on 3-1 as Chelsea, as seen with Fulham last week, don't do things easy.

James Garner

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@4.50

Lose

-50

I landed on a second pick of James Garner to get a card. James had 7 yellows last season and could well have a long day, which might lead to a booking having played 90 minutes in each of the last two games. At 7/2, I think a card is due.

Romeo Lavia

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@4.00

Lose

-50

I'll take the 3/1 about Romeo Lavia going into the book. The Chelsea midfielder has 4 yellows in 11 and gets a start today after a miserable injury-ridden season.

17:55 5:55 Kilbeggan

Royal Cave

Daily Racing

25 EW

@21.00

Lose

-50

I'll take a chance on the returning Royal Cave. Not seen since down the field at Navan last year but the run before that looked to be at his mercy before falling at the last. This looks pretty competitive but could well reach the frame.
12:35 Beijing Guoan v Henan

Beijing Guoan (AH) -1.00

Asian Hcap

50 WIN

@2.02

Push

I'll take Beijing on the handicap. I think there will be momentum after a 6-1 win last time, and Henan aren't exactly firing. Home win.

Yuning Zhang

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@5.50

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward Yuning Zhang. With 2 in the last 2, he is probably the second most likely scorer.

19:00 Judd Trump v Zhou Yuelong

Zhou Yuelong 4.50

Handicap Betting

50 WIN

@1.90

Lose

-50

I'm going to take Zhou on the handicap, effectively taking him to reach 6 frames. He's ranked 32 in the world and has been playing better stuff of late. Trump should realistically be too strong and could be 10-2 if Judd is firing, but my hunch is Zhou has some joy.

Judd Trump to win 10-7

Frame Betting

50 WIN

@8.50

Lose

-50

I'm going to take Zhou to trouble Judd in the first session before perhaps nerves get the better of him and Trump asserts. Zhou has had some upsets recently and pushed Higgins close, but I think 10-7 Trump.

00:30 Bragantino v Cruzeiro

Cruzeiro

50 WIN

@3.40

Lose

I'm going to side with the away team here. Hunch is they have a little bit of momentum and can snatch 3 points.

Cruzeiro & Yes (Result + BTTS)

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

@7.50

Lose

-50

I'm going to take the surprise outside option of an away win and both teams scoring. Cruzeiro had a good 3-0 win last time, and these drew 1-1 in a friendly at the start of the season. I'll take an away win BTTS.

Kaio Jorge

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@9.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the away side makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward Kaio Jorge. With 3 goals in 3 games, he is showing the form that wasn't there last season when he was expensive to follow. 8s is a fair price.

Cruzeiro #3-2

50 WIN

@41.00

Lose

-50

I landed on a 5-goal thriller at 40-1. Yes, it's reflected in the price that their first combined 8 league games haven't exactly shown that kind of glut of goals, but I'll take a chance.
20 April 2025
14:00 Fulham v Chelsea

Cole Palmer

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@5.50

Lose

-50

I'm going to go in again on this market with Cole Palmer. A little long for his chance, 9/2 is fair for a 6 yellows in 31 record. This being a London Derby with a bit riding on it in the Europe race.

Joachim Andersen

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@5.50

Lose

-50

Four yellows in the last 10, I'll take the center-back Joachim Andersen to go into the book today. The center-half has a red also this season.
14:00 Man Utd v Wolverhampton

Kobbie Mainoo

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@17.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. He scored against Lyon with a nice finish and maybe could get on the scoresheet again.

Christian Eriksen

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@9.50

Win

425

In from the start today, Christian Eriksen has 2 yellows in the last 4 games, and so the 17/2 is a fair price for his chance of a caution.

Harry Amass

Player to be Booked

50 WIN

@6.00

Lose

-50

I'll take a chance on the home wing-back Harry Amass getting a caution here. The wing-back had 5 yellows for the under-21s last season and could be in the book on 3 Premier League appearances this season.
00:30 CF Montreal v Orlando City SC

CF Montreal

50 WIN

I'll take the 5s about both sides scoring and conceding, as I think the home side will have a go here. They are feeling a little hard done by to be bottom.

Dante Sealy

50 WIN

@12.00

Lose

-50

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward player Dante Sealy. 1 goal in the last 5, and so could score at 11s.

CF Montreal #3-2

50 WIN

@29.00

Lose

-50

Narrowly fancy the home side, and as I ran through the odds, I felt it not too inconceivable that this is a 5-goal game with perhaps the hosts surprising and edging it. They have lost 3-2 twice in the last 13 games, and maybe they can turn that scoreline around here at 33s.

On the assumption that the home side here makes the breakthrough, I'll side with the forward Leonardo Campana. The former Inter player had a spell on the sidelines but is back and may get on the scoresheet here.

New England Revolution #3-2

50 WIN

@23.00

At 22s, I'm going to take the home side here winning 3-2. Both sides need points, being on the outside looking in at this early stage. But still, the home side is looking for 2 wins in a row and might get it.
00:30 Seattle Sounders FC v Nashville SC

Paul Rothrock

First Goalscorer

50 WIN

@9.00
