There's a bunch of well bred colts here but Prince Rasam is by previous Derby (2018) winner Masar. On race course debut at Chelmsford he turned over, by a convincing 2 lengths, 1/5 odds on favourite Deira Mile who subsequently ran in 4th place, 2.75 lengths behind Ancient Wisdom in the Group 1 futurity at Doncaster. Michael Bell hits the post a lot with his runners and it's not a yard you would readily associate with group race success but for me Prince Rasam looks the most interesting runner in the race.

Closed out 3 year old campaign with a decent run in a class 3spring handicap on soft ground but will appreciate the better ground here. Yard are in good form and go well in handicaps at Musselburgh.

Yard has a good record at this course, with last time out winners, runners coming in fresh from a break and with this jockey. Electric Storm is a Night of Thunder filly who won twice at Kempton as a 3 year old. The latest of the wins over 6 furlongs was more convincing than the 7 furlong win. This is a deeper race over 5 furlongs but on breeding should be capable both in this grade and at this trip.

Roger Varian has a good record in this race. 1 win from 4 attempts with another 2 places. Charlie Appleby's runner looks capable but at odds on represents no value for a bet. Aidan O'brien's Matrika is also a No Nay Never runner who won over 6 last timeout but Varian's True Cyan beat the Gosden's Strutting last time out comfortably enough. Strutting still holds an Oaks entry and Roger Varian generally does well with second starters after a break and last time out winners.

won the Cambridgeshire last year before going abroad to try a couple of group 2s where he gave a good account without really troubling the score board. Has continued to prove effective in good quality handicaps since joining the Kublers from Sir Michael Stoute. A lot of the runners here have the back class if they can find it and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ottoman Fleet double up on last year's win but at the prices Astro King looks a decent bet for a yard in good form.

Cheltenham's Grand Annual isn't as good a form line for this race as the Arkle and Found a Fifty was 2nd to Gaelic Warrior there so is understandably top of the market here. However, Libberty Hunter ran in a good 2nd in the Grand Annual and the 3rd place runner from that race ran a good 3rd place in the Red Rum here 2 days ago. Obviously has a bit to find on ratings but at the prices has the most each way appeal.

A 3 mile chase on heavy ground with a stiff finish at Carlisle. Lightly weighted, last time out winning runner for Sam England goes back up in distance and is pretty much at the bottom of the handicap here with a jockey change to a useful 3lb claimer almost wiping out the 5lb rise from that 5 length, soft ground, Haydock victory just 8 days ago.

On testing ground over 3 miles and getting 20lbs (including rider's claim) from the Skeltons' Ballygrifinccottage atthe top of the market makes plenty of appeal. Cheekpieces ditched after the last outing when finishing second over 28 furlongs but made a few jumping errors. Has struggled going much beyond 3 miles and has often ran out of juice so this shorter trip should suit better.

Form is closely linked to Haslam's Wen Moon who is slightly better drawn here. Their last meeting: 13th October last year, 5 furlongs on soft ground at York saw Wen Moon beat Looking for Lynda by 8.75 lengths - however Karl Burke's runner made a mess of the start and is now getting a 9lb swing at the weights (12lbs when considering Wen Moon was ridden by a 3lb claimer in that race). It should certainly be closer this time and at the odds is a better value each way bet for a yard in form that go well here.

Has won a couple of decent turf handicaps at this distance and last time he met current market favourite Elegant Man was over 11 furlongs at Dundalk. Star Harbour was put away by Elegant Man that day by 5.75 lengths but not only was Star Harbour not wearing his usual headgear back then there is now also a 12lb swing at the weights in favour of Star Harbour to consider. finished 2nd last time out at Dundalk getting chinned close to home so drop back in trip could be favourable for a potentially well handicapped runner.

Not much class 4 form here. Carr's Digital has it but change of yard and off a break are negatives. Similarly Murphy/Keady's runner Temple Bruer likely needs the run after a chunky lay off. The Bethel yard is in decent form and partnership with Callum Rodriguez is a good one. Last time out over 7 furlongs Mountain Warrior was edgy during the race and got hampered but actually won a decent looking contest here in this grade and at this distance in race previous.

Has (comfortably) won off a break here previously - May 2023. It was the first of 3 wins at this distance for him last season. Rated 5 lbs higher than his previous C&D win but this should be a tougher, if open looking race with not a lot of confirmed form in the grade or at the distance. While not especially well handicapped could be well handicapped against today's field - he's getting 7lbs from the only other last time out winner - Asgard's Captain.

This looks pretty open. In a race normally favouring 4 and 5 year olds there doesn't look a standout bet so inform Ed Dunlop with his 6 year old Camelot gelding makes a lot of appeal. Last time Arthur's Realm raced at Doncaster over a mile on soft ground in this grade was September '22. He went down a length and a half from a rating of 91 so today's mark of 82 makes him an interesting player.
