There are a few that will press for an early lead in this, and a good pace is likely to be set. That will suit course specialist (2 wins & 4 ?- 2nds from 9 starts) Dr Shirocco, who likes to come from off a good pace. He returned from a break in October with a spin over hurdles and then ran at Hexham a month ago where, after travelling well, he did nothing when asked under Murray Dodd. Wadge is on board again today, for whom he seems to go well. Fitness shouldn't be an issue, and with the ground, trip, and track all positives, he looks each-way value.

At 7 lb below that last winning mark today, he won't need to progress much from his last run to win this.
