A previous Open winner, and is coming into this years Open with good form, including on a links course in last week's Scottish Open. I think Morikawa is the main threat to Scheffler amongst the top order. On a course where accuracy off the tee is vital, Morikawa is ranking 2nd on the PGA tour. He has also performed consistently well in the Majors this year - 3rd in the Masters and 4th in the PGA Championship.

Theegala looked fair odds a couple of days ago when he was 40-1, so now he has drifted to 66/80-1 I think it's good value. His Open performances so har haven't been great, but it sometimes takes a few attempts to work out Links courses and last week's 4th in the Scottish Open could hint that he is starting to do that now, and also shows he is coming into this week in good form. He has come out and said Troon is his favourite course so that may bode well.

Since winning the Woori Financial Group Championship in May, Im has played 8 tournaments and finished the top ten 5 times (with another T12th). He was 4th in the Scottish Open last week, in similar conditions to what the weather looks like this week, and this may indicate his management of Links courses is improving. His current odds look good value for a world number 24.

Best value bet is Portugal. Many people fancying England or France but the quality and experience in the Portugal team is comparable to those teams. Their team is full of players who have won multiple titles and a few players who won the Euros themselves in 2016. Even the players who haven't been multiple winners e.g. Bruno Fernandes, Vitinha, Leoa, are top-class players. I have them at least getting to the final (England and France could meet in the semis) so each-way bet.
