Not surprising that Appleby/Buick are favourites for this. However, the race doesn't shape up like a one-horse show, and at decent odds there is much to like about Two Tribes. He seems to have rediscovered his mojo and comes here in good heart. He has a good draw.

A lot of runners in here, but, barring accidents, there looks to be only a few which have good chances over the trip and ground. With that in mind Gaelic Des Chastys seems to have every chance and is in decent heart. As long as the horse keeps near to a likely strong pace and doesnt have too much to do we could be onto something here.

Just about enough purchase in this for an each-way punt in what is quite a muddling race, with lots of potential improvers/novices. Dawn Coming has experience over jumps and looks like the going is OK. The jockey is a competent claimer.

I'm just having a small stake here. Two reasons. First the race is ultra-competitive and there are c. 10 in with a chance. Secondly, the selection although in with a good shout at odds on this type of ground, is prone to an occasional error. Chance at odds but small stakes.

This is a somewhat speculative punt because it's the first run for this horse for the Rebecca Menzies yard. Simply, we don't know how the horse has trained on since leaving Roger Varian. We do know that the raw stats are good and that the selection can go well when fresh. Worth a SMALL stake.

If William Carson can get City Cyclone out of the traps properly from a decent draw, then there is every reason to expect the selection to run a big race. The horse had a blip at Southwell on the penultimate start, but that was over 7f and the horse was keen and eased. This looks more doable. Underrated.

Chesney Hawkes has probably got a few quid on this! Quite right too. The horse is relatively consistent and, over this sort of trip, seems to at least hold good each-way claims.
