Honestly, if Amo horses were running better this week he'd be a lot shorter, and trained by Boughey he'd be starting favourite. So massive value play. This trainer should not be underestimated with 2yos, and he's probably their best horse. A good debut showing plenty of speed, and this stiff 5f will prove perfect.

So interesting they're dropping him back in trip. I would suggest he raced a bit free when fading last time. He will probably have needed the run, and he's proven on this surface, so it's a good move to switch him back here. The key for me is his mark now. With a 7 lb claim, he'd be looking very nicely treated on his form from last season.

Can easily progress again after two decent runs in handicaps. Likes the surface, and this is a very weak affair. These 3YO-only handicaps usually fall to the male horses, and he's the standout among those.

So unraced horses get a little edge here, and that's a useful thing in a conditions event. The favourite won a very weak maiden with a 5 lb claim and looks a lay in this company. Selection is a nice type, an expensive buy, and from a stable that does very well with 2yos.
