Czechia gets the nod from me here. They're unbeaten in 2026 (although they are only here due to penalty shootouts), and during the run-up to the World Cup I'm mindful of South Korea's 4??"0 defeat by the Ivory Coast. Could well be a draw, but that'll refund the money.

Mexico are at home, and home advantage will be worth a lot due to the altitude. They're also unbeaten in 2026 so far. They play a South Africa side ranked in the top ten in the world, so it won't be easy for them, but they should get the win. The question is: will they win enough to beat the handicap? World Cup openers tend to be low-scoring affairs. Given you get half your money back with a 1-goal win, I think it's worth the risk.
