Mexico playing at home will naturally have an advantage. They are also ranked 46 places ahead of South Africa in the FIFA rankings. However, opening games are notoriously cagey, so it may be close. A narrow win will be the way I play this match.

I expect it to be cagey in the 1st half (or boring), but we should eventually see the hosts grab the win, cheered on by a passionate crowd. The odds for a Mexican win are restrictive, so I prefer these 3/1-ish odds.
