Stod180

I have been backing horses since Sherwood Forest was a plant pot. From Newcastle and a TOON supporter. I don't have one particular thing that leads me to have a bet, it's all bits of infomation gleaned, plus I don't mind what price it is, if I think I can turn a profit, then I will put it on here and I do back them myself.

The Jamie Snowden-trained Super Survivor was a good novice hurdler, and that form is expected to carry over to chasing. However, after a poor run in the Coral Welsh National in his novice season, he lost his way. Back over hurdles, he won twice last season and was a close second on this season's reappearance. He will improve for that and also for the juice in the ground. Big chance.

Trainer William Knight has had a topsy-turvy year. Usually he gets plenty of wins from his 3yos, and his juveniles take a while to get going. This year it has been the other way around. However, his 3yo Timely Affair has been strong in this market. He opened up at 10/1 and was halved in price shortly afterwards as the support has continued. His three qualifying races in the first half of the season were when he was still immature, so his opening mark in handicaps of just 49 looks lenient, and the betting suggests a big run is expected.
