Last win came here last year off an effective mark of 121, runs today off an effective 119. Ludlow form reads 311. Ran his best race for a while at Ascot last time out that was over slightly shorter than ideal and he was hampered by a faller at a crucial time, it would be no surprise to see him back on track this afternoon back in grade and up in trip.

Six pound lower than last win and after running a solid race on stable debut has put in a couple of disappointing runs but both were on ground softer than ideal and as a result has dropped to a mark of just 108. Last three wins have come on good ground at around 3m, trainer has gone for first time blinkers which could eek a little improvement from him. Sam Twister back on board for a stable who have had 4 winners from last 10 runners.

Hasn't won for a while but this time last year was 2nd off 103 in a class 2 before running in a group 3. Even 3 runs back in September was beat just 1L in a class 2 off 92. Gets in today off an effective 81, has a nice high draw and has gone well fresh in the past if new stable have him ready to go.

This one is just too big a winner on soft and Heavy, last win came off 57 (effectively 47 today). One visit to the track saw him run well for a long way over 1f further . AW fit where he has improved with every run for new stable, could go close at a massive price.

Heavy ground winner who went close a couple of times last year on soft in class 4 events off marks of 77 and 76. Well backed on seasonal debut but found himself on the wrong side of the track, first 4 home were drawn 9,10,8 and 7 and he was 5th from 4 but came widest of the field. Can build on that here with the run under his belt in easier grade off just 72.

Ran into one at Cheltenham and he was 10L clear of the rest, has only gone up 1lb for that run which is generous when you consider his victor went on to win a Grade 1 at Aintree. Still reasonably unexposed, all it's best form is with cut in the ground and no obvious reason why he shouldn't stay this trip, looks a solid selection.

This time last year was 3rd in the Craven beat just 3L, spent the rest of the season running respectively in Group and Listed company. Tackled Handicap company for the first time when drawn on the wrong side of the track in the Balmoral, he's better than that and can show in today off just 96, was rated 106 on his Craven run.

Shouldn't be much between this and the fav on the run in the race last year but this one has a much better draw. I think this nearside rain is a big advantage. This one is drawn 13 of 14 which, he goes well fresh (2nd in race last year 1st time up) and is 1lb lower than last winning mark.

This one was in the process of running a nice race off this mark when slipping on the bend late in proceedings, with form over slightly further and form on this ground (won on heavy over hurdles). Last two wins were 18 months ago but off 12lb higher than today but plenty of solid form since, should go close.

I'll take a chance that this one is still on the upgrade, every chance, she's only 6yo and couldn't be in better form. She handles this sort of ground and even though all her wins have been over shorter there's been no real suggestion of her stopping so the extra 3f shouldn't be a worry. Up to a mark of 114 but she hammered a 110 rated horse last time which would suggest she can cope with the weight hike.
