I'm not sure why this is a bigger price than the Haggas horse he beat last time. He ran past that at Donny, and this track is much stiffer. Lightly raced, he should still be on the upgrade and was beaten less than 2L in a Group 2 as a 2yo. Soft ground won't be an issue, and he gets a little bit of weight from the older horses from his 3yo allowance.

Wasn't beaten far twice off a mark of 80 at the start of the season when last experiencing soft ground. His last two wins were off 78 and 76 on soft. Visually, the step up in trip should suit, but he ran poorly last time at his first try. That was at Chester, though, so I'm willing to forgive. Effectively off 63 today, he can go well at a big price.

Soft ground form reads 212322511. A mark of 80 looks high enough, but has won off 79 on the AW and has been placed a few times last season off marks in the low 80's. A high draw could be an advantage on this ground, as it was last year when the 2nd and 3rd were drawn 10 and 12, and the winner came widest of all from the 7 box. Looks way too big at 25's.

A course winner who got his head in front off a mark of 69 at Redcar over this trip on Soft around this time last year. Has been disappointing since his win here off 63 in August but was drawn on the wrong side of the track when trying to follow that win up at Ripon (second in the group) and has had excuses in two runs since (drawn wide at Beverley and Chester on heavy). Drawn 1 today and down to 64 should give him a good opportunity.

CD winner who has been pretty consistent this year off marks in the low 80's. Ran well last time off this mark but may have gone on the wrong side of the track. Hold up horse so Spencer booking is ideal. Last three wins have come off 1lb higher, can go well at a double figure price.

I'm not sure why this one is so big, last win came off 57 and has been knocking on the door off that kind of mark this season, runs off 54 today. This stiff finish should suit as some of his best results have come at Beverley. Loads of overnight rain in Yorkshire so conditions will be easy under foot and his last 5 runs with "soft" in the ground description read 31222.

Was beat less than 2L in this race last year off 104, last win came off 102 and last 5 wins have come off marks in the 100's. Down to 96 today and 8 box looks a fair draw, ground fine, whilst this looks a very competitive affair this one can go well at a nice price.

8lb lower than when winning this 2 years ago and 9lb lower than his last win. Has a string of good runs at the track. Last two runs have been poor but prior to that looked like a win wouldn't be far away. Would be no surprise if the shrewd stable has had this race in mind and have been getting him a mark. Ground fine, hopefully draw isn't a hindrance. Can go well at a nice price.

Goes really well here, last two wins came here around this time last year off marks of 58 and 54, runs off 53 today which is the mark that saw him just touched off at Carlisle two runs bad, can go well at a nice price.

Won first time up this season off a mark just 3lb lower but won on the AW last year off 82. This time last year went really close three times off a mark of 86 so today's mark of 77 looks a winable one. Ground and trip is fine and double figure price only adds to the appeal.

Thought good enough to be made second fav for a Listed race at Goodwood, I'm willing to forgive him that, he's still inexperienced and didn't seen to handle the track when caught wide. He's been given a break since then, dropped in grade and this easier ground should suit. Trainer does well at this meeting and this one should go close.

Comes into this off a nice win at Worcester and although he's exposed in terms of number of runs this will only be his 4th run over this kind of trip, his previous three tries have seen him finish 2nd 4th and 1st so there might still be a bit to come over 3m. Has been placed off marks in the mid 100's so still some wiggle room off 104. Drying ground would probably help but as long as it's no worse than good to soft he'll be fine.

Has been a little unlucky since being upped to this 2m trip, slow away and came from miles back here and then followed that up when stopped in his run at a crucial time in the racing league. Back to Kempton today, hopefully gets a better run and gets his head in front at a nice price.

I'm going with last years victor who claimed the win off 8lb higher in 2023, hasn't hit the frame yet this year but hasn't been beat a long way. Three of last four wins have come on the AW and would be no surprise if shrewd trainer has had this race in mind for a while. Double figure price adds to the enthusiasm.

This guy was 2nd in the Coronation Cup 2 runs back, not sure what went wrong last time but I'm willing to forgive him that. A CD winner who only has one real rival today and whilst that horse has been running well she's not faced anything in his class.

Has been knocking on the door in these big handicaps and I think this might be the easiest she's tackled. I'm hoping the rain might have got into the ground a bit as I think she's a bit better on softer ground and that could just bring out the extra for her to get her head in front in one of these. Good claimer takes off 5lb as usual to lighten the load.

Headgear and longer trip have done the trick with this one, the extra 2f today looks sure to suit and visor replaces blinkers which should also eek out a little. Still unexposed should go well at a nice price.

Last win came in the Spring on Heavy ground off 63, she followed that up with a close 3rd, again on Heavy ground off an effective mark of 64. Has run some solid races in the Summer off marks in the mid to high 60's but drops to a mark of 61 today. She gets further than this which is a bonus on this ground and has gone well here in the past, can go well at a nice price.

Won here off 64 in June, effectively 61 today with claimer taking off 5lb, wasn't stopping when winning over 1f shorter and has a win over this trip to her name. Disappointing last twice off effective marks of 66 and 65 and excuses of longer trip and softer ground could be valid. No excuses today, she can go well on better ground at a track she likes off a nice mark at a nice price.

The Mullins horse could be anything but I'm willing to take on a 7 race maiden that has never finished better than 5th at current odds of 9/4!
The selection won over CD off 87 last year, disappointing since but down to a mark of 88 as a result and claimer takes that down to an effective 81. Only a 6yo so should still have some improvement, has shown he's effective on this ground and is out quick after his best run since the CD win when 6th last time out.
