I tend to use results data as the basis for my tips - so it is more mathematical than my knowledge of the horses or football. The horse racing tips I am currently providing (Nov 2024 and beyond) is based on a lot of reliable data although my actual criteria depends on factors at the off time so my real world experience may differ slightly. The football tips I am doing at the moment are more of a play and only based on a bit of the current seasons data. It's profitable but could turn - but with more data, I can become more accurate!

misterguk's Tips

7th January 2026
19:30 Bournemouth v Tottenham

Over 2.50

Total Goals

150 WIN

Another fixture I wouldn't like to call. Bournemouth are going into this as quite the favourite over Spurs, but will the impending (probable) loss of Semenyo affect matters on the pitch in what could be his last game for the Cherries? But I think there will be goals and then pushes for more goals. I'd go either BTTS Yes or over 2.5 but the over 2.5 market seems better value
19:30 Brentford v Sunderland

Yes

Both Teams to Score

150 WIN

I'm surprised the betting odds are this good (2.1 currently) - there is a bigger prediction both will score than not. It'll be a competitive fixture and the Bees will be determined to win and are stronger at home, but Sunderland, although travelling from afar, don't like to be beat and may push for a draw. That's why I'm steering clear of the match result and think this is a good bet
19:30 Crystal Palace v Aston Villa

Over 2.50

Total Goals

150 WIN

I do think Villa will win this despite being away and despite being unstuck by Palace in a few recent matches. Palace' form is a little unhinged these days. But I think either BTTS Yes or over 2.5 goals are very likely outcomes and given the odds for over 2.5 is higher, that is why I am plumping for it.
19:30 Man City v Brighton

Man City

150 WIN

It'd be silly not to back City to win at home. Most previews fancy them, plus a lot of goals. I'm also recommending the over 2.5 market.

Over 2.50

Total Goals

150 WIN

Not the best value bet, but is odds-on, so I like that. Certain there will be at least 3 goals with a chance of both teams to score, but the probability (and betting odds) both suggest a 2.5 over is the market with more certainty in winning than the BTTS Yes market
19:45 Lazio v Fiorentina

Lazio

150 WIN

I think Lazio are under-represented in the betting odds here. I think although nowhere near odds-on, it ought to be closer to odds-on. Lazio I think will win - yes they have only taken 5 points from their last four vs Fiorentina's 6 points, but the away team are joint bottom of the table
20:15 Newcastle v Leeds

Yes

Both Teams to Score

150 WIN

Yes. Just yes. This has surely got to be the surefire bet of the night. Both teams have had some decent results of late. They've also either not scored or managed to keep a clean sheet on occasion (both teams) but overall, when I look at all recent results in all competitions, I'm seeing them score & concede plenty. I think the win is Newcastle' - undoubtedly the stronger team, but I think BTTS Yes is a big win
