Like most Big Bass games, the action takes place under the water, and this one is darker than most to reflect the nighttime setting. Money Symbol

The fish-paying symbols are also Money symbols. At every spin, the fish take a random money value, which can be won during the Free Spins bonus round. These range between  0.2x and 5,000 x your bet. 

Scatters

Hit 3 or more Scatters to trigger the Free Spins bonus round. When 2 Scatters hit, there’s a chance for a third to land by a random feature. First, the Scatters may be able to move down one position without leaving the reel area. A respin is triggered, where the reels with Scatters move one position down and the reels without Scatters repsin. Second, a hook can pull the reels up to reveal another Scatter which looks superb on the screen.

Free Spins

Land 3, 4 or 5 Scatters to trigger the Free Spins bonus round and win 10, 15, 0r 20 spins repectively. Before the round starts, you can select select 'top secret files' which you can see in the screen below. These are your upgrades which reveal modifiers for the subsequent round, until you reveal a boot image and then the round begins. 

Modifiers include: 

• More Fish-more fish symbols on the reel strips

• More Fisherman- More Wild symbols are presenting the reel strips during the subsequent free spins round.

• More dynamites, hooks and bazookas - during the round, the chance to hit the dynamite, hooks and bazooka spin feature is increased.

• Start from level 2  - the round starts from level 2 in the progressive feature.

• +2spins - the subsequent round starts with 2 more free spins from the beginning, and 3 more spins are added to the retrigger.

During the free spins round, each Wild collects the values of all Money symbols, including the Wild themselves. You can see an example of this ain the bar at the top of the screen below. Accumulated Wilds trigger additional bonuses: every 4th collected Wild awards +10 extra free spins and multiplies the values of Money symbols collected. The amounts are x2 for the second level, x3 for the third level, and x10 for the fourth level. Retriggers cease after reaching the fourth level. During the Free Spins bonus round, these random features may occur:

• Occasionally, when fisherman symbols are present on the screen without fish, Fish Money symbols may randomly appear at the end of a free spin. 
• Again, randomly, fisherman symbols may be introduced onto the screen if fish are present but no fishermen at the end of a spin.
• Periodically, when a fisherman is on the screen but no fish, all symbols except fisherman symbols transform into another symbol at the end of the spin.

Stack the Cash

Here the normal symbols fade away, and only Coin symbols and blanks are left. At every spin, the Coin symbol takes a random value from 1x - 25x the bet. During the round, under each reel, a robo-crab appears. The round starts with 4 respins, and every time a Fish Coin symbol hits it remains on the screen and the amount of respins reset back to 4. 

When a reel is filled with Fish Coin symbols, all of their values are collected on the robo-crab under the reel and the reel is cleared of symbols. Whenever at least one new Fish Coin symbol hits bomb drops on a random reel which doubles the values of the Fish coins and the robo-crab below. At the end of the round, the values of the robo-crab are added together and paid.

Big Bass is a popular series of slot games, it’s unbelievable how many fishing-themed games can be produced, but players love em! The last game I reviewed was Big Bass Day At The Races and it was a shock that the fisherman was taken on to dry land, it would seem that the possibilities are endless.

This game has the usual bits and bobs that players are used to seeing, including the Fisherman Wild, Fish symbol and Free Spins, the Big Bass series has decent features. In this game, you have the option of Free Spins or Stack the Cash, which is a Hold and Win feature so that provides something a little different. I also welcome the fact you get a chance for a third Scatter to land if you trigger 2 Scatters with the Big Bass games.  The nighttime scene and relaxing music were positives, but in general, there was not much to differentiate Big Bass Mission Fishin' from the other titles. This game was entertaining, but it was not a stand out like Big Bass Splash and Big Bass Bonanza.
