7:30 Wolverhampton Tips

Ziggys Condor was a very close second at Southwell last month at 6f in C5 off a 72. He then stepped up to C4 at 7f last week, a trip he has consistently run out of steam at, losing 2 places on the run in this time. I think the return to 6f, while 2 lbs heavier than that last second and 5 lbs below his last win back in Feb with a 7 lbs claimer, could do the business.

Has won over C&D. Should find this much easier having run well in better company. Blinkers go on. Plenty to like.

Reliable AW gelding with solid course record, proven Tapeta form, and effective Class 5 profile. Trainer-jockey pairing adds confidence. Well handicapped and primed for a bold run tonight.

Imperial Guard is a 7-year-old Night Of Thunder gelding who has shown me some flashes of ability, winning once over this distance and placing on a few occasions. Last time, he finished just 3 lengths off in a 5f at Southwell, showing me that he can race prominently. Effective from 5 to 6f on a sound surface, he could be set for a good run here and is well worth a shot at his current mark of 69.

C&D, going and class winner. No notable form of late. A lot of that form is in higher classes than this. He's run in class 5 the last two times where he's been finishing middle of the pack. However, in this class at this course, he won off 1 lb higher, so I'm hoping this is where he wants to be.

Previous distance winner. Now 6lb below last winning mark. Comes here after a decent 5th of 10 at Southwell last time out 23 days ago. Nice stall draw in 4. Each way hopes at least this evening.

Only a pound above her last winning mark and was a winner the only time that she has run at this track in the past. She drops into a Class 5 handicap for the first time in her career, so the drop in grade could be what she needs to come back to form.

A chance is taken that Until Dawn could outrun her odds now being upped in trip. She had a couple of back-to-back wins over five furlongs earlier and returns after a break of over six months.
