He has had wind surgery since that Cheltenham run and I expect he is better than this level of race. If he is fit after his break, he can win here.

I'm hoping the step up in trip will benefit the Ditcheat runner. After two starts since arriving from France, he has looked rather one-paced. 8th of 11 (here at Taunton) on his UK/yard debut, before a better showing when 4th of 12 at Wincanton last month. He did experience very soft conditions in France, and in a weak-looking affair he surely has to go close.
