Handicapper has left her mark untouched following a promising reappearance run over hurdles last time out. She showed absolutely nothing in her first 4 runs over hurdles. That's until she ran at this course on her 5th run over obstacles. She finally showed something to work with, dead heating for 3rd place with Addosh, beaten 13L by the winner Demoiselle Kap. The latter went on to complete a 4-timer of wins, rising from a mark of 98 to a mark of 119. She's had 2 more runs at this venue, finishing 2nd on both occasions. She bumped into a handicap blot in Feach Amach, beaten 16L by the winner. She was trying to give the winner 10lbs in weight. Also, the winner went on to win 2 of her next 3 runs, with the most recent win off an 18lbs higher mark. She reversed the form with Feach Amach most recently here, but still bumped into one in Janworth, beaten just over 1L by the winner. With the recent run under her belt and the solid course runs, I think she could go one place better at a course she's been very consistent at thus far.

With a penalty to cope with and probable soft/testing ground I'm prepared to take Devon Skies on here. A safer option may be Balally Park, a horse which unshipped on penultimate start but which has improved since and looks to have, potentially, better conditions.

Whilst undoubtedly Lillistar is the main play here, I can't ignore her stablemate Seeyainthesunin. He hasn't shown much in 4 runs over hurdles to date. It was the run at Haydock that caught my eye. He finished a fair 5th in a maiden hurdle, beaten 18L by the winner High Dancer. The first 3 home in that race are now rated 114, 105, and 107. This lad runs off just a mark of 89 today. He's one of the least exposed rivals in this field. He had a recent pipe opener/handicap debut run at Wetherby. He was sent off a 50/1 shot. He certainly ran like one also, pulling up having never got involved. Maybe he needed the run, his first run in 191 days. He should be straighter here. This race won't take much winning, with lots of out-of-form and thoroughly exposed runners in here.
