Sober Glory won his sole start in points before winning three bumpers, including a Listed Race at Newbury in February. He returned over hurdles at Chepstow last month with an easy 12-length win and looks likely to take this Listed Novice Hurdle before moving on to bigger targets.

This market revolves around the unbeaten Sober Glory, who is four from four and was mightily impressive on hurdle debut last time out. However, this is no easy task, and at the current prices, it could be worth taking him on. Of the others, HURRICANE PAT makes the most appeal. This son of Kalinisi started in a couple of Irish point-to-points. He is 3 from 4 under rules and was a ready winner of a maiden hurdle over C&D last time out. The form of that race may not be that strong, and he will need to show more now in Listed company, but he was not asked for much that day, and there is likely to be plenty more to come from this five-year-old. He has a clear liking for this track, having won on two of his three starts here. Those two wins came on good to soft (good in places). It appears that he will face more testing ground today, which may not be ideal. However, he has shown plenty of ability, and at the current price he offers good each-way value against the odds-on favourite.
