Won very nicely at Haydock in a class 5. Bumped straight up to listed, so a great deal more needed. Should like the anticipated ground. Supposed no draw advantage last time, but the first 3 drawn 9, 10, 11. Coincidence maybe. Lightly raced, more to come. It will need it today.

My Each Way selection for this race is GOLDEN PALACE, a battle-hardened filly who already has the key course-and-distance form in the book. She was sixth in the G1 Cheveley Park here, shaping better than the bare result against the best fillies of her crop and only giving way late. That run shows she handles the Rowley Mile's climb, and the drop to Listed level puts her in far calmer waters today. With the right blend of speed and class and with figures that underrate her, she is set to run a very big race indeed for her yard today.

Very well-backed horse in this hot race. Another unexposed type won well last time out at York in a novice and can improve again.

Not beaten far into fourth in a similar race at York last time is form that puts her right in the mix today. The shrewd trainer has had two recent winners from only a handful of runners. The jockey is in good form with six winners in the last two weeks. After two placed efforts in the first two races, the horse followed that up with wins at Southwell and Newmarket and looks a filly with bags of potential.

Race 4 at Newmarket today is a Listed Race over 1,207 m Flat Race for 2 y.o. on the Turf with the going reported as Good. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 2yo filly Rogue Attraction from the Edward Bethell yard, and will be ridden by Kevin Stott. This daughter of Invincible Spirit was showing promise after her first two starts before being thrust into a Gr3 last time out where she ran last. However, that run should best be ignored as it was too far off what she showed in her first two runs. The going on the day was soft, which looks like the primary reason for that poor showing. Back on good going today gives her the chance to redeem herself, which seems likely.

CHICORY has won a race at 6f, finishing seventh over 6f at Kempton on her latest outing last month. The course, distance, and surface should suit, and she could well be able to win this race.

Eternal Solace was not disgraced in a listed race at York which clearly showed she needed six furlongs. She followed it up with a recent win at Lingfield over six furlongs and could progress further in this more competitive race.

INSIDE STORY has won a race at 6f. A winner on her latest outing over 6f at Southwell last month. The course, distance, and surface should suit, and she could well be able to win this race.

It's a bit of a lottery ticket with a large field and not a whole lot of experience across it. Another where the going could really help - two wins and a runner-up in three runs in good going before.
