Bluebells Boy is on a fair mark now and showed me a lot more when beaten 2 lengths off 66 at Yarmouth last time. He has winning course and distance form, goes well on the all-weather, and is effective at 5 and 6f. Luke Morris onboard is a positive booking, and with stall 8 offering options tactically, he looks to be a solid chance if the pace is strong.

Looking for minor money here but could still surprise all. Alashos is a Showcasing gelding trained by C Gordon with Jim Crowley riding. Placed three times over 6f including latest third, he handles a sound surface well and has been consistent in handicaps. Cheekpieces applied before, career includes one win from 12 runs at this distance. Each-way chance with the top jockey Crowley onboard.

Good run on turf @ Brighton Lto and previous 4 runs here @ Lingfield over 6/7f were solid. Retains a decent mark of 48 here, is a C/D winner, good apprentice booked taking off 7lb and shrewd trainer is best here with his 4yo plus last 5 seasons @ 14 percent, making current 12/1 solid Ew value in the race.

CD winner. Drops to a low mark of 63, having won this at a mark of 67 at this track. More interestingly, won early September. Some horses tend to run better with the temperature cooled down after coming out of warm summer runs.
