He handles the all-weather, stays this trip well, and remains on the same mark here. That last run confirms he is in form, and with a similar effort he has a strong chance of being involved again in this company.

Mostly struggled since being hit with a 9 lb rise for Salisbury win during the summer but is coming down the weights and has posted a couple of decent runner-up efforts of late. Not one for maximum faith, but should be capable of running well off this mark.

Her most recent run was on 6 January at Southwell over 1 mile in a Class 6 handicap, where she finished last of 8 runners, beaten well over 20 lengths after being held up in rear and showing no response once asked for effort. Her recent form in handicaps shows little sign of competitive fitness at this mark. She has placed twice earlier in her career, and the blinkers she wears for the first time here could help sharpen her up. If she improves noticeably for that headgear change and gets a clear run from off the pace, she has a chance at a big price in this weak handicap.
