This 2-year-old failed to justify the favouritism when she placed 2nd in the Prestige at Goodwood, but she left a strong impression that the track has not been as favourable as the straight courses she had tackled in her first 2 races. Consequently, she is certainly deserving of another chance, especially since this additional furlong is sure to be a good fit for her.

Aylin, a 2-year-old chestnut filly out of St Mark's Basilica, ran well at Goodwood last time when finishing 3rd. She looks like 1 mile would be perfect. Has form on good to soft.

I’m tempted in here by Venetian Lace, who, like a few of these, should improve with distance. Running on over 7f at Ascot would be the evidence on her runs so far, in a race won by a subsequent Group 3 2nd. Her penultimate effort when 4th behind 104+ horses suggests she’s the ability to win a race like this in which nothing has obviously matched that standard. If she stays straight on this flat track she can improve for stepping away from Newmarket where she hung violently in the Superlative. She won’t have to do this from the front which should suit her as well.

The Juddmonte filly took a big step forward on her second start, traveling smoothly at Kempton over 7f before quickening to win by 2.5 lengths in the end. Her pedigree (Lope De Vega out of Big Break by Dansili) underlines her potential for stamina and speed, and she arrives with useful experience after an educational debut at Ascot. Drawn in stall 5 on Doncaster's straight mile, she should get a clean run to use her uncomplicated, genuine style. More improvement from her looks likely.
