His run at Wetherby prior to the CD win was rock solid. On just his 2nd run back from a 668 day break. He finished a decent 2nd behind Konfusion. Beaten 3L by the winner. He did make a costly mistake at the last however. But think the winner probably had him covered anyway. He did pull 20L clear of the horse in 3rd place to his credit. He was also trying to give 11lbs in weight to the winner. When you consider that horse won the Rehearsal chase by 15L at Newcastle on Saturday off a mark of 126. That was a remarkable effort all things considered. He was hugely impressive when winning over CD last season. He jumped well. Travelled with plenty of authority. He took up the running 3 fences from home. He ended up winning by 13L, eased down also. His stable mate (Chapel Green) was a well beaten 4th. 18L behind the selection. The aforementioned has since defied a mark of 114 (was ridden by a 5lbs claimer when winning). With that reappearence run under his belt. Back at a course he's won at. You'd expect a much bolder showing this time.

This one has been mainly consistent over hurdles following a good 3rd over 16f here, with a win over the same trip off 105. He was 3rd again over 16.5f off 113 here and signed off with a 4th at Hexham in March. He has since undergone a wind-up and dropped 1 lb. Is the pick back here over 16.5f.
