This is probably the optimum distance for James Du Berlais. He was last of three to finish in this race last year when Iroko failed to get past the first fence after being hampered. However, he won his last race of the season at Punchestown, which gave him the highest official rating here. He could bounce back from a poor run first time out in the John Durkan, in which he was tailed off behind Gaelic Warrior.
