Act of Authority could have needed his first run of the season when only 4th at Newbury, but should be at least placed off his current mark of 138 with Lewis Saunders taking off his five-pound allowance.

Bear Market has won an NH flat race and two hurdle races from 2m 1f to 2m 4f. He was a winner on his latest outing in a hurdle race over 2m 4f at Southwell last month. The course, distance and going should suit. He seems well treated and could well be able to go in again and win this race.

Sean has been swapped for James here, and if you can get a good enough price I would back EW. Comes here off the back of a win from a 14-runner field. Can handle the distance, and although his mark is stiff, he can still win this.

They are stepping this one back up in trip with the same regular jockey on board, as this is his only ride of the day. A good value each-way bet, also dropping it down in class / grade.

Sunray Shadow was a C&D winner in October last year and has only raced twice since. He made a return from a 336-day break 30 days ago and would have likely needed that outing. 2 lb out of the handicap today, but that's offset by a very competent rider's claim, and the 6-year-old has strong place claims at least here.

A five-time hurdle winner who was runner-up at this level last time at Plumpton after a five-month break. Last four runs have been 2nd, 1st, 3rd, and 2nd. Probably needs a career best but should give a good account and looks great each-way value.

Cracking Rhapsody has been hit and miss. He was 13th of 18 at Cheltenham three weeks ago. He won a race prior at Ayr. Now upped in trip, he could hit the frame if he stays the extra four furlongs.

12-year-old who has won 7 times over hurdles, with the last win coming on the penultimate start. Not seen since April last year, but the jockey booking is a positive and the horse holds an each-way chance.
