Murphy is the pre-tournament favorite. He is in very good form, with some deep runs in recent tournaments. I don't see him losing to Whelan in the first round.

Boiko played well in the Shoot Out last season. He is 3-2 in his last 5 matches, decent form compared to Yassen, who lost 7 of his last 8 matches.

Jonas Luz is one of the worst players on main tour. Shoot Out gives him slightly higher chances than usually, but I think Lam should be fine. Luz lost 5 matches in a row. Lam is way better skilled.

El Hareedy lost all 10 matches he played since 2023 at this level. He is not near Gary Wilson, obviously. Wilson is not the best in shoot-outs, but in this round he should be fine.
