Last time out, this horse travelled strongly, jumped efficiently, and finished with energy, reflected in FSP and top-speed figures. Being difficult to pull up after the line suggests plenty left in the tank. Good French form for a yard that targets the race so well.

Has Cheltenham experience when running well in last year's Triumph. Harry Cobden was impressed and felt he needed the run. Good flat form. Showed he has the speed and class for this when winning last time out with good TS, LGJ, and FSP figures on the Race iQ data.

I am a really big fan of this horse. Although she may look like the stable's second string, do not underestimate her. Hurdles form ties in with Marjborough and Sir Gino, and this season's chase form with Romeo Coolio is better than any other in the race. Speedy, keen sort who attacks fences makes her the right profile for this race.

Two runs now show the same profile: travels strongly, jumps efficiently, and sustains speed under pressure. The RaceIQ metrics back the visual impression: high top speed, strong FSP, and very clean jumping at pace.

Sneaks in at the bottom of the weights and is related to Sir Gino. Had a reputation at the start of the season but was disappointing on the first two starts. Was a lot better last time out. Hopefully can peak at the right time.

Risky one this, as he won off top weight a few days ago to qualify for this. However, he did so impressively and is carrying less here. If he recovers in time, he is a serious player.

Best Jango Baye last year in a battle, who is now short for the Gold Cup. Has good form this year with Resplendent Grey and Protektorat. This is the second run after a wind op. Should peak here and put himself in the Grand National picture.

Good form last year when behind Haiti Colours in the NHC. Then peaked at Sandown at the end of the season, winning over 3 miles. Done okay this season, beating Hanstands on debut, then again when second to Protekorat last month over a shorter trip. Can ignore the Coral Cup as he was always on the back foot due to a bad start. A win here would make him a serious contender for the Grand National.

This race has weakened in the last two months, which has opened the door for this horse. His win in the Greatwood on this track is up there with anything else in the race. Overpriced, in my opinion.

This horse has a big reputation but has yet to show it. Form hasn't been bad, but his loss to Lossiemouth a couple of runs back was due to setting off far too early. However, I liked the way he moved. With better timing he could have a chance to prove the early-season hype. Hopefully Patrick can keep him calm until the time's right.

Best form in the race, so should be favourite in my opinion. Ticks a lot of boxes. JP colours, Elliott trained and the brilliant Jack Kennedy on board.

I like the way this horse finished last time out. It really caught my eye. It will be tough off top weight and seems to be the stable's second string, but I would not rule it out.

I loved the way this horse has traveled and finished the last two times out. Tailor-made for the marathon trips and is a future Grand National horse who is related to Many Clouds.

Seems to be flying under the radar this one. Only a five-year-old but has good chase form. Had Bossofthebrownies behind when second to Flicker of Hope. Bossofthebrownies was being tipped in all the podcasts ahead of this but hasn't made it. Cannot believe they have not mentioned this. Elliot, Kennedy, Robcour ??' what's not to like?
