Heavy ground and a wider draw on seasonal reapparance last time out at Pontefract counted against Vintage Clarets. Should come on for the run, is better drawn today, handles the conditions, is a consistent performer at this level, was fourth in this race last year and is up against a lot of runners making their seasonal debut and the race doesn't look quite as tough as it did in 2023.
